Whilst I'm a few years younger than most people in this thread, a baby @ 23, I've just gotten out of a heavy 6 1/2 year relationship and have found Myspace to be fantastic! You make lots of friends, I'n 4 weeks, I've got 26 friends that I speak to on an almost daily basis and have made arrangements to meet two of the girls on my list.0

Hi all. I just made up another name for the purpose of this add.
On the other side of the coin, I am a 36 year old man, with a good job, nice Semi with gardens etc, a Mercedes etc. My mates say I have a fantastic sense of homour, I am slim, and I guess I look average.
So, why can't I find a nice women? I'm not bothered if she has kids (in fact it would be better if she did), because I too have kids who visit me regularly, so it would certainly be some company for them. While I like a drink with 'The lads', I love going for familly days out, and try to get abroad a couple of times a year.
So, to you 30 somethings ladies on here, let me know if you find any decent sites please, cos I'm looking for the same as you, but in female form!
Good luck0 -
I am recently single, and worried that I wont find anyone else already. It is the male company that I miss. Although I have friends as such they have families and trying hard to juggle time. I just want to meet some folk where I can be myself and have a laugh. Dont want to go to cinema on my own and friends tend to go with their partners.
So I will def give gumtree a try.
Thank you

hi I have been single for almost 5 years since my ex left , I am 40 and have two teenage kids , I don't go out much as my friends are all married so I find it impossible to meet any one , if anyone wants a friend to chat to please feel free to pm me . I have a very dry sence of homour am good company and would like to make new friends .
I found that a chat sights were full of guys hitting on you for some extra curricular fun if you know what I mean .0 -
Northern Guy - I think you are the male version of me! Except I don't drive a Mercedes...;)
I'm also 36, have a beautiful son, nice house, nice car, great friends who I go out with for a boogie every couple of months or so (they're all married, so we can't get out as often as we'd like to).
Oh yes - and when I finish my teacher training next year, I will also have a good job! :j
I've tried internet dating, 'real life' dating agencies, chatting to people when I'm out with my friends. You name it, I've tried it. There just don't seem to be that many ordinary guys who just want to live life and enjoy it.
I've found that the most genuine, down-to-earth people I've met in the past few years have been in the forums here!

Be brave and go to the cinema on your own! I have for years and lots of women do these days. Let's face it, if you're looking at a film it doesn't really matter whether you're on your own or not. It works just as well with live theatre and you get to see films/plays that YOU really want to see.0 -
You could buy a dog then go "dogging"? Oh, wait...:D553780080

Ok, let's try this. If you're single, where are you from? And before anybody tells me this is not a dating site, I know, but at least a couple might get together, which in turn saves a lot of money joining dating websites like match and datingforparents, which many of people have tried and not done well with.0
