Point taken Violet....but ....take me for example, I work in a female orientated workplace, I drive straight from work to pick my 2 kids up, then straight back to work next morning........not many chances to make male friends. The online thing is much like the pub thing.....
Making friends with men first is ideal.......but not many places to do that ... I am not desperate as I am happy enough with my life.....but it would be nice to have some male friends who dont ask 'what are you wearing'!
If anybody is interested then pm me and I will set up an online 'get together' for a giggleYNWA JFT96 :A0 -

Do you want friends or a relationship. relationships tend to come with men attached and then if you get bored you end up a frustrated old bat having the odd affair if you are lucky.
If you just have friends then its easy to have fun. meeting people is easy buit you have to be out there in the firdst place.Flames in the Garden of Eden

Yes there are nice single guys out there and I am proof (some would say). However, unless you are one of those people that can walk into a room and chat to anyone it's not so easy to walk up to a stranger, start talking and not be thought of as 'on the pull'.
I am in Spice and can say it gets you meeting people from various backgrounds and all ages without the dating hangup as it's a social club. Sure there are some that are looking for that special someone but most want to drive a bus, go karting, try absailing etc., things you wouldn't do alone along with walks, meals and the like.0 -
Joining Spice is a great idea if you don't have kids or have an endless supply of babysitters.
I've looked at joining spice but seeing as I only get less than 2 days a fortnight to myself, the things I want to do very rarely fall on the days I'm free and my nearest group is 40-50 miles away anyway.
The membership isn't particularly cheap either.
Like I say, great idea, but not terribly practical if you're a single Mum with limited childcare.0 -

I agree with you Jet. Membership at c. £25 a quarter does put some off and unless you live near a main Spice location e.g. Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester, Leeds etc. then events can be limited without travel. Couple that with having to arrange child care as well and I can see the problem. But when they are older then ...0 -

Got to add though that as Lita Ford states, most bored people have affair and I think it's highly unlikely that anyone will ever find the perfect partner to keep them happy forever - I had a mini affair once, mini as in it didnt last long, I suppose I should really call it a quickie. The person concerned made an analogy. He said when he was with his partner he was on a constant diet, but I was his cream cake
I was quite happy with it like that until his partner spotted his expanding waistline and rumbled him.and it had to stop. If anyones interested I'm giving a free seminar on lying techniques next month:rolleyes:The Bloodlust Clique - Member #17 - blood, blood, glorious blood...nothing quite like a rare steak full of bloodYou may have to fight a battle more than once to win it. :wall:0 -
