where can i meet new people?

I am 35 and have 2 pre school age children, I've been seperated for 18 months and had to give up my job to care for my children.I go out about once a fortnight with my best friend, but we never meet anyone in a pub/club who we would want to go out with (mostly drunk letcherous men). Can anyone suggest where i could meet other single people ? I'm not desperate (yet) but would just like some pleasant adult company from time to time.

I'm a single mum of two boys and have been on my own for 5 years. To be honest iv'e given up on finding a decent guy, there just doesnt seem to be any. It's just not me that is of that opinion, all my friends say the same thing! I just go out with the girls (when I can) and have a good time. The men I meet (just like you) are usually drunk and can't string a sentence together! Good luck with your search..............don't hold your breath!:rotfl:

there may be one in your area. They have introductory evenings which you can go to and decide if you want to join or not.

My last family trip (before split) to center parcs had a huge groups of people there from Spice (above). They were having a blast, very social and just seemed like a group of mature (varying ages from 30's upwards) have fun! Sounds like a very good suggestion to me.

I seperated last year and met fairly soon after a very nice chap, there are some lovely men (and women) out there, honest!

Another recommendation for Gumtree. I've met a great group of people from the Liverpool site and we regularly meet up. Look in the 'friends only' section and see if theres anything similar.

My O/H's brother has met a few women from Match.com. He thinks its been worth the cost.
