I don't think anything would happen if you reported it, considering he was drunk. I think this is one of those things to put down to experiance.
As for the other people, many people nowadays just keep to themselves. I was in a similar position when I was a teen. I was physically attacked on a bus because of my race, no one on the bus helped me until my attacker had got off (after several shops) and I was too shaken to take them up on their help. The bus driver did nothing. I guess the other people didn't want to risk getting attacked themselves.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0 -
My god, i genuinely thought better of people, to stand up for whats right!
Nevermind, just shows what cowards most people really are, no wonder society is in the pits!
Hopefully the few of us who would stand up, and fight if necessary, to defend innocent victims of abuse, will continue to do so, and perhaps encourage the next generationt o do the same0 -
no she is not she is analyzing the situation to figure out why it happened and what could have been done differently.
your posts on this threads are horrific absolutely horrific.
Horrific is very OTT don't you think.
Your not really getting his point because your just sitting on the 'im offended' bandwagon. Jump off it, even if just for a second.
There are many things in day to day life we shouldn't have to do, but we do for an easier life. Be it close to home or with complete strangers. I'm going to give two examples, just simple examples. You've just had an argument with your child, who stomps off upstairs, she leaves her breakfast bowl on the table. To make life easier and not draw out an argument you take the bowl and put it next to the sink/in the dishwasher. Second example, your going round a roundabout and some idiot pulls out infront of you, they have 3 kids in the car, you beep your horn and call him names from the comfort of your car, and then drive onto your destination. You dont follow him to teach him the error of his ways.
Whilst this drunken idiot on the bus was a narrow minded loon. If anybody lets what a drunken idiot says affect them so deeply, then I suggest they stay in doors for the rest of their life. The world can be cruel. Not everyone will like you, many will judge you.
You pick your battles. And an argument or confrontation with a drunken idiot on a bus is not worthy of anyones time. Shrug it off and move on. SMILE, for you are not the one sitting on a bus spouting rubbish while drunk!99.9% of my posts include sarcasm!Touch my bum :money:Tesco - £1000 , Carpet - £20, Barclaycard - £50, HSBC - £50 + Car - £1700SAVED =£0Debts - £28500 -

I cannot believe the lengths one poster has gone to blame the victim and defend the bigots.
Makes me despair of our country......
The justice system doesnt help i realise that, some people might be scared of the consequences, given that homeowners/tenants get arrested for defending themselves.
But i'd rather risk my freedom, than watch others being abused0 -
You have been rightly challenged on that post - but no one seems to have picked you up on this specific point:It's all very well to insist on wearing clothing that makes you stand out due to religious freedom, but if you are going to wear something that identifies you as part of a religious group whose members think it's okay to kill soldiers not on active duty, you've surely got to expect that there may be some members of the community who associate you with that crime - however wrongly on their part - and verbally abuse you, or maybe even attack you, in public.
Muslim women are meant to move through their communities as anonymously as possible, not standing out and attracting attention. Hence the French government insisting on no religious dress at school. In muslim countries, if christian women don't want to be abused on the street for the way they dress, they cover.
As for travelling on a bus with drunks on it, what time of the day was it? We have children older than you, OP. My husband wouldn't dream of letting his DD travel on a bus from the early evening onwards. He would go and pick her up.
Lee Rigby's murderers are first and foremost politicised brain washed jihadii footsoldiers. Most muslims would probably dissociate from them very strongly.
You are quite thoroughly wrong to say that dressing in an islamic way is associating with Lee Rigby's murderers.
The irony is quite astounding. Just put them in burkas to complete the picture.Mine is 17 and none of them, neither she nor her friends, travel on the bus unless they have males accompanying them. You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -

And does one smile if one is the VICTIM of such abuse?
Turning the other cheek as you suggest is condoning it. Those who ALLOW abuse are just as culpable as those of practice it.
Think about that and smile if you dare,0
