What is a new customer in SKY's eyes? Would a partner, lodger, somebody else living at your address be? Would they qualify for new customer deals?0

Time to cancel sports and movies methinks.
How much for basic package/Sky+/HD/broadband + line rental? Anyone know? Any pitfalls in my plan apart from losing sports/movies?
Basic package with HD is called Entertainment extra Plus this is £32 a month a has all normal channels e.g. entertainment, kids, documentries, lifestyle, news and music plus hd variants.
Sky broadband is £7.50 a month for unlimited
Sky line rental is £14.50 or £10 a month if you pay a year upfront.
so all equals £54.000 -

I think that's a little bit steep and it's going to cause a lot of churn I expect.
I'm moving to Freeview+0 -

Thanks for this.
So to be clear £120 up-front for line rental? Then £39-50/month?0 -

Yep that's right it's £119.40 upfront payment here's the link http://www.sky.com/shop/broadband-talk/talk-weekends/ So then your bill would be £32 for tv and £7.50 for Internet0 -
Guys, if you are on Sky BB/Phone then ring them up and tell them you want to cancel your account and are moving elsewhere... I did that and got my phone and unlimited broadband for £10 per month.A big believer in karma, you get what you give :A

If you have Sky phone then I think its "150" and should be a free call. Maybe check on their website though.
Be warned, the first time I rang up to cancel my phone and BB the person just said "that's fine, just order it with your new supplier and they will contact us to transfer everything across" so I just called back a few days later and did the same thing again speaking to someone different and they gave me the offer - don't ask for the offer though, just tell them you are moving to Talk Talk because its cheaper or something like that - do your research first thought and know how much Talk Talk (or whoever) are (including cashback / vouchers etc).A big believer in karma, you get what you give :A

I have top package with Sky including phone and broadband.
I had my letter a few weeks ago and the increase is £2.50 a month. For what I get in return I think this isn't a bad increase and am quite happy with paying the extra
It helps that my package only costs me £51 at the moment as I got a lot of discounts last month when I phoned saying I was looking to cancelFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -

Hi Faith
Did you get eg. 6 month discount for a whole new 12 month contract? In other words, you'll be paying top wack after your discount expires with no escape?0
