I got a letter from Sky and it says my increase is £1-50 and i'm on the £24-00 Entertainment extra package. So where does your 50p come from.0 -

Thanks for reply. And it's so nice of sky to bring me in line with N-C and giving me 50p off. So much for my 18 years of continuous subscription.
Think that works out at over a 6 % rise whoooooooooo... Drinks are are sky. [ hope they choke on them]...0 -
I am more than annoyed by the increase in cost (just received confirmation by letter) as they have downgraded the Sky Go package. You used to be able to download material for off line viewing but now you have to pay an extra £5 per month! So to summarise pay an extra £5 permonth for something you used to get for nothing plus a 10% increase in September, charming! Not very customer centric, can't think of a similar example in consumer based companies can you?0

got my increase notice telling me of all the things they want to spend my money on.. woopee flamin dooo!
Wouldn't actually mind if they pulled their finger out and created a Sky Go app that actually ran on any android tablet and not just about 5 expensive ones... I appreciate the open nature of Android raises issues of securing the content against unauthorised access or copying, but surely they can find some clever enough programmers somewhere that can work it out??0 -
I had my letter to tell me Sky were increasing my subscription by £2.50 as of August. That now puts my bill up to £48 a month. I only have the entertainment extra pack on the main box which is a Sky+ box, plus multiroom (I have a standard Sky box). I have already looked at what channels we watch and 'need', we don't have movies or sport packages.
I had been considering upgrading to HD box and scrapping the multiroom. I had even considered transfering my telephone and BroadBand internet to their combined package, but I didn't really think it would save me much money (and I wouldn't get Tesco CC points in return).
I am now considering what my new options are considering I am definately not happy at paying £48. a month subscription for what I am getting - repeats galore!
Can anyone tell me how I can save money without losing out / getting rid of Sky please?
ThanksFailure is only someone elses judgement.
Without change there would be no butterflies.

Also as it stands your get a hd box if you change to this package if you need any other help than just ask :j
Thanks.
MY SKY is currently showing I have the following:
Entertainment Extra - £25
Multiroom - £10.25
Sky+ Subscription - FREE
Total = £35.25 (so it must be September they add the £2.50 but the letter stated it may appear from my August bill).
I've tried negotiating with them but they say there are no deals for existing subscribers only new customers. Not even if I transfer to their combined package. They don't even budge if I threaten to leave alltogether. Ive been with them 13 years - so much for customer appreciation loyalty!
Sadly though we are not in an area where we can get cable so Virgin, BT TV etc are out of the optionsFailure is only someone elses judgement.
