Couple of little spends from the weekend on crisps, nappies and milk to add bringing my total to £271.48. I have 3 days left as I get paid on Thursday.
I am down to my last egg and my last chicken stock cube, have run out of tissues, kitchen roll, face wash and our usual shower gel and have been using DS big bottle of sanex, there is only a dribble of washing up liquid left and I have condensed my 2 fridge freezers into 1 and have turned the one in the garage off:D
I bought a bag of frozen cauli on Friday to use when my mum came up for lunch yesterday and forgot to use it:mad: probably because I don't like it and bought it for DS and DH. DS came back from an overnight visit to DMIL and asked for cauli cheese for his tea. I didn't even know he knew what it was never mind how he knew I had bought some;). He is only just 3:):kisses3:

Spent a total of £21.59 yesterday, so now spent £156.21/£250. Rather more than intended but probably because DH was with me and always seem to spend more then. Anyone else have that problem?

Hi all, hope you've had a nice weekend!
Just a small spend on Saturday for me.... More milk, fruit and salad stuff!
I'm tempted to give up on dieting though... I feel like I'm never out of the shops and no supermarket fruit and veg lasts longer than 3days. Hmmmm... Decisions!

Have spent £14 in Aldi today, leaving me £8 until the end of the month. £14 wasn't bad, as it included a big pack of 6 pork chops for £3.99, which will make a good few meals worth!
I was barely in the car 30s earlier when I was hit with really bad indigestion, so I had a very quick dash round Aldi and forgot to buy fruit for my lunchbox... I haven't been int he mood for fruit so much lately, so maybe a weeks break will help me get myself int he mood again (I do cook lots of veg into my dinners etc, so I'm still getting most of my 5-a-day!)0 -
Will need to buy - toilet rolls, panti liners, cotton wool + milk + fruit this week. I want to keep spends as low as possible. Left over cash can go towards the £170 I paid out on decorating supplies this week.
We had HM BPITH + roast potatoes + roasted beetroot, red onion, white onion, green pepper, tomato for dinner.
Black Pudding in the Hole was delicious - enough left for 2 day's dinners. Cost to make - 90p for 6 portions.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I've reached £98 out of a target of £100, but I've stocked up on loads of things and have a pretty full freezer.
Plan now is to not spend on groceries before Sunday, then minimise spending from Sunday til end of August. I've spent so much because I haven't planned as much as I could so I'm aiming to rectify that this week.
My daughters are away until Sunday and after that I'm going back to a target of £200 for September.
While my grocery shopping isn't as low as it could be this month, petrol and ents budgets are well down, so that's something.
Meal plan as follows:
Monday
Breakfast: cereal and skimmed milk
Lunch: mushroom soup and roll
Tea: cooked chicken salad
Tuesday
Breakfast: cereal and skimmed milk
Lunch: mushroom soup
Tea: beans on toast
Wednesday
Breakfast: cereal and skimmed milk
Lunch: Philadelphia and cooked beef salad roll
Tea: beans on toast
Thursday
Breakfast: toast and jam
Lunch: cooked beef, Philadelphia and salad roll
Tea: prawns and mushroom pasta with salad
Friday
Breakfast: cereal and skimmed milk
Lunch: Ryvita, apple, Philadelphia and prawn salad
Tea: TBC
Snacks: fresh fruit
Aim of this meal plan is also to kick start weight loss so really want to stick to it.
Bought a few YS bits today -- decent quality sausage for 54p, prawns for 74p, rolls for 30p, bread 19p and trout fillets for 99p. Got 12 Birds Eye fish fingers for £2,
Plus half price Birds Eye garlic chicken breasts and Harry Ramsden battered fish, all on offer at Sainsbury, also stocked up on low fat rice pudding, tuna (£4) tinned salmon and reduced salt and sugar beans. Got a 77p off voucher for next shop and paid with £32 of nectar points towards a £57 bill.
Am going to plan meals into Sept for the three of us from next week to keep costs down.
Sorry for rambly post, trying to give myself a kick x we were all away until August 10, so bulk of what I've bought can hopefully be for September, plus I brought £127 back unspent which is an added bonus.0 -
Just popping on quickly to say happy birthday to meg - hope you had a fantastic day! Thanks for your wishes. I've had a lovely weekend, a quiet lazy day today as a rather late night out with friends to celebrate last night
and so glad I took tomorrow off work! Will be back on then to update spends & recipe index
