Hi everyone,
I'm back from hols - one week in Norfolk with no Wi-Fi (quite refreshing actually), then back for one day at home, then France for a week with 15 family members. Stuck to budget in Norfolk and managed to bring £40 home. France was a different matter. In-laws paid for the accommodation so us children were meant to have a kitty for the food. We ended up buying the food on the first night (115 Euros) then DH gave another 100Euros into the kitty. SIL and BIL each gave 100E and we ended up buying final nights food at 40Euros, so feeling hard done by. Won't let it spoil my holiday memories but definitely prefer holidaying with my own little family as SIL and BIL do take advantage of DH having a good wage
I have to update the budget list at the beginning of the thread so bear with me. In the meantime welcome to all the newbies, hope you are getting on okay.
Will go to Ts tomorrow for fresh F&V, have a fair bit of meat in the freezer and bought back cheese from France (rude not to!!!)
Will update sig once I've been shopping. Sorry for the ramble! It's good to be back!!!

Well, despite rejoining this thread this month, I have not been keeping check on what I've been spending, so I was convinced we would have gone over. However, today I went through all the receipts for the month, and was pleasantly surprised to find that we've only spent £96.84 of the budget so far. Really pleased about that, although it does mean that we only have £33.16 to last till the end of the month, but I think it should be do-able as we don't really NEED much!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Not posted for a few days, busy doing family/household stuff. Gosh, this grocery challenge, keeping an eye on spending is really hard! :(I see the budget going down and down and still so much month left. I am not buying extravagant expensive food, but just popping into Lidl or Asda adds up.
It's only my first month of doing this, does it get easier? Or is this all you think about like me?0
