Thanks for this, did look for one at Argos after it was posted in the New Promotions thread, couldn't find any but this is a better offer and I've just ordered one :)

A fantastic camera - bought mine from purelygadgets - end of last year and paid £200 ish .... a good buy for £140ish.

Will shoot 600+ Shots one one charge of the lithium bat, has a lumex / lecia lens, many over-ride functions .... ISO settings, formats, widescreen, VHS quality video, very fast at taking rapid stills, built in guality flash, great results ....

produces great pictures - I would describe it as a great all-in-one camera for the a photography enthusast who does'nt want to spend much on a camera by not going to a full SLR kit, but wants far more flexability than the majority of point and shoot cameras offer ....

    I would'nt hesitate to recommend one !!

Just found this excellent 12x zoom camera at PC world for £149.89, and there is a 5% PC world discount in the MSE discount code forum here.

    http://www.pcworld.co.uk (do a search for DMCFZ7BB)

Looks like very capable award winning camera, just superceeded by a slightly revamped model the Z8. I was looking at the Fuji 6500 talked about in another post but decided to go for this model. Its light with anti-shake & Leica lens. The camera is £200 at Amazon.

    Cheers

Hi there, I want one of these and they're still available, with free delivery, so could you please enelighten me as to what the discount code is or where I can find it?

    Many thanks Romarj5

I love my Lumix FZ3 won't replace it with anything other than SLR! and not yet found a situation it can't handle, they are superb cameras...very fast, versatile, great battery life!

Me too. The FZ-3 is far from perfect but it was always miles closer to perfection than any of it's £ equivalents.

One reason for picking the FZ7 was the IS anti-shake feature. My partner simply cannot press a camera button without moving the whole thing. Although its easy to spot her pics in our huge iPhoto library it would be nice to have a few more sharp snaps. The US TV adds were heavy on the benefits of IS, so can anyone tell me if it actually works well ?

    Cheers

Argos are selling it for £149.99 now for anyone who can't get to PC world.

Price at Argos went up at midnight to £229.99. I know, because I thought I'd managed to reserve one at the lower price and hadn't! Still out of stock though......

(Not) surprisingly it's now in stock at the higher price at all my local stores ;) Still only £149.87 at PCW though.

I'm 99% certain I'm gonna get one of these, as I've been wanting to get into photography for a while now but couldn't afford an SLR; this seems to be the perfect compromise!

Does anyone know what sort of guarentee/warranty you get with something like this? If it stops working within a year (or 3) can I get a replacement/refund?

I'm wondering whether it might be worwhile getting the £1.99 a month cover plan....I assume that protects against accidental damage?
