camera is back in argos for 149.99. just reserved one before it goes up, fingers crossed0

Got mine from PCW - delivered by DHL, VERY quick service, plus Quidco etc.
NB although it has 12x optical zoom, if you need more you can set it to 2.5m pixels and it allows 16.5x OPTICAL zoom without loss of picture quality (albeit at 2.5mps only) - it really is clever.
The lens hood makes for a great support for the hand as there are no moving parts on the outside.
And its a darn sight lighter than the Fuji S6500fd which was a previous Grabbit, and compared in this thread.
Another feature I really like is you can set the LCD screen to allow you to hold the camera up above your head and still view the LCD in clarity; when you bring it down it's all white and fuzzy, but lift it up and it's clear as day, absolutely brill for concerts and crowds.I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing!
Quidco and Topcashback, £4,569
Shopandscan, £2,840
Tesco Double The Difference, £2,700
Thomson EU261/04 Claim, £1,700
British Airways EU261/04 Claim, EUR12000 -
So all in all a worthwhile purchace then?
I'll maybe pop over to Argos in my lunch hour and see if they have any of these.0 -

Can't get 15 yr old son off it, taking pics of everything.
Zooming on planes miles in sky, then using playback zoom to 16x to view the plane up close, surprisingly good qualityI didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing!

Online at PCW and for mail order or pick up at Argos, all gone apparently. The only useful posts for those who still want one will be if & where still avail near that headline price.0

Still seems to be available for reservation at all the Argos extra stores near me (Wrexham, Flint, Chester and out onto the Wirral).0

Now that these are all but unavailable, is the DMC-FZ8EB-K which I've seen around at £220 the successor model? Spec looks identical except for it being 7.2 MB not 6.
Additionally, it is possible to get clip on hue filters for the Leica lens used on this?0
