Awww hope your niece arrives in good time so you can get some good cuddles with her before jetting off Poddle! How lovely to be going away for a month, nice way to break up the winter! :)

Where is everyone? Hope you're all OK. :)

Still got the grumps, think it's just settled in for the week! :o Had a mad, uncontrollable sobbing session in bed last night, I was even giggling in between sobs as I knew I was being mental but I just couldn't stop my face from leaking! Bloody hormones. :p Baby was kicking me pretty much all night so I didn't sleep much, at least the positive side of that is that because I was up I went into work early which means I can leave early! :)

Any Hallowe'en fun planned? Our office bake off 3rd round is tomorrow so it's got a spooky theme. My team-mate is making little puff pastry pumpkins with sausage meat, butternut squash and ricotta cheese inside. They're to die for (ooh pun!). I'll also be decorating my desk but other than that there's nothing going on, not even carved a pumpkin as there's no point! :o

I have the grumps too birdie and I don't even have an excuse! Just fed up, massive FOMO and hormonal/stressed I think grr! I want to enjoy autumn and go and buy a new coat and new boots (anyone seen anything nice winter wear wise online?) but I can't really afford to (despite only just being payday) and I don't have time and don't think I deserve a treat - low self confidence right now and I've gone a bit too stingy with myself I think!

Anyone got any good news to de frump /grump?

How was the Halloween bake off? Did your team get any points?

I don't miss you girls shopping for car insurance was a job I absolutely hated! Is good when you knock a bit amount off your payments though! Think I might be getting old enough to actually help bring my brothers car insurance down if I'm named rather than put it up - that's depressing!! I know it's the weekend but I already can't wait for next weekend ha!!

    Hi all, nice weekends?

Been very busy here trying to make extra money. At the moment it's just to make ends meet, NIMs wages were shockingly low this month and we're coming up to 2 MOTs, 2 services, 1 road tax and 2 sets of insurance in the next 30 days. I'm feeling very low at the moment, between my job being at risk, my manager being in a permanent dark mood, never being home to see Grace (and when I am spending that time cleaning rather than playing), finding it very hard to reach an agreement with NIM on moving forward with funding for my business and our money situation being what it is I feel like throwing in the towel. I feel like I've worked every minute God gives for years now and I have nothing left in me. If throwing my hands up in the air and quitting the lot of it was an option right now I'd take it.

Oh Dinah, it sounds awful :( Would it be possible to SORN one of your cars for now? Might be a bit of work juggling your cars for getting to work, but surely that's better than the stress of the cost?

Just please try and take a little time out when you can, it must be annoying for people to say it but mental issues are an illness and you need to take care of yourself the way you would if it was a physical injury. And don't forget you're not the only one in the house capable of housework ;) Spend the time you need with Grace, and if the house is a mess and annoying you take her out for a walk instead and forget about it! Clean houses are lovely, I won't pretend they aren't the business, but so many other things are important to. Sending hugs! xx

Oh dear Dinah, have some massive hugs from me. Cinny's right, try to spend more fun time with Grace and less time worrying about the state of the house. MH issues are draining and spending your free time chasing your tail won't help, time relaxing with your lovely girl will. :) Is NIM helping out enough or being a man and thinking that half a job done is as good as a whole job?! Can you ask your Mum/Dad to help clean for a while? It can be awkward to ask for help, but I often find that people (family especially) are usually more than willing to step up to the plate when really needed. :) My MIL lives for pleas for help from her boys! :)

Agree about the car too, if it's possible to get by with one car for a while, how about making one SORN for a few months? It's also perfectly acceptable to MOT without a service right now and get the services done in a couple of months when you've got fewer expenses lined up. :)

What agreement are you trying to reach with business funding? Is it a case of needing to take on a loan or something or juggling money that you have to redirect more to the business?

Sounds horrible Dinah :(. Is horrible when all the car stuff comes up, we have the same but for one car which is bad enough.

With the cleaning, can you either just try and cut down to minimum or have you thought about getting someone in for a couple of hours a week? I know it seems a luxury but i know a few mums who do it and seems to save their sanity a bit. I am probably a bit lazy with cleaning stuff :o.

My weekend was good. I went to stay with my mum and dad and had a little Halloween party at SIL's for the kids which Poppy loved.

Having a bit of a work situation myself although not same as yours Dinah. We have lost the client i work on at my company which is a massive client and so now i am in the situation where i may or may not get offered a role at my current job, may get offered something at the place that won the business or can try and look for something else. Might be a good thing in long term but makes me nervous!

Forgot to say: hugs for having the grumps Tink. I think it must have something to do with the change in weather but make sure you look after yourself and have a treat because you do deserve it! :)

Halloween bake-off- we came 2nd! :T By 1 point no less! Next week is sandwich cake week! :)

Work stuff sounds pretty stressful Wendz, would you be up for moving to the competition if the opportunity arose?

Surely if NIMa wage is low this month he's had more spare time.. To clean the house etc so has he been doing it? Its probably not even bad so don't stress about it and try to enjoy grace time!

What's going on with the business funding? Can we help you evaluate options at all? Is this a separate thing to your dad's thing?

Wends I hope you're ok. I think it will affect my Boyf too but he said probably not too next year (but don't know when that means..) hopefully he will find something else to do and maybe you'll get a new opportunity and it will be a. Good thing rather that a negative? Big hugs anyways

It does sound like a break on the second car could be good. Why do you need it? I thought you got the train and I know NIM said he was going to mend his bike and get back on it! Even if you just get the mot done then sorn to save tax and insurance for a few months could be good?

How was the interview NIM? Any more in the pipeline?

I'm sure everything will be ok it's just bad things one after another! I agrees with asking for help if you need it! Friends and family are always there for you but sometimes you have to tell them you need help!
