I'm glad you're all saying books, we're at a first birthday in a few weeks and I've got the little girl a stack of some of Grace's favourite books, I know her mum was saying she wanted some for her but I was still worried I'd look like a very dull person, I mean they don't light up OR play music!

Hope everything turns out well for you, and going part time sounds like it will be better for you all round (bar £222 loss) Hopefully something will come up good for NIM to bridge the gap and then some :)

I thought a book would be boring too, I mean a baby can't read! But with all the lovely fairy stories (as long as they leave Little Mermaid and the likes out until she's older ) they might want to have a tradition of bed time stories? If not it's a cute looking book and will look nice in the Nursery :rotfl:

Rubbish about getting the redundancy notice but at least it seems to be better than it could be with only 2 people going. You never know, someone may decide to jump ship and take voluntary redundancy? Fingers crossed it'll happen. :) Would be good if your manager can find out about the half time option sooner rather than later... it'll be a long wait until December! I think they'd have to tell you before that though as they're obliged to answer redundancy related questions in good time during the notice period. :)

Nice to hear from you Archers. Hope your OH gets a job sorted soon! :)

Not a lot to report this end, just getting the nursery sorted; it's nearly done! :)

Archers, we're having a York meet in January if you want to come? Be lovely to finally meet you if you have the time/spare pennies :)

Having a slow money at work so I'm screen shopping, found what is probably the most appropriate jumper for us girls :p

Yay for the nursery nearly being finished Birdie.

I managed to be late for work this morning and OH as our alarms didn't go off. Only woke as Poppy was shouting me. She was awake for over an hours in the night. She was calling mummy and i went in her room and couldn't see her anyway and then realised she was under the bed and saying 'i'm stuck'! . Had to pull her out and her head was too big so no idea how she got under there!

Excellent jumper! Love the fact that it's sold out in large! :rotfl:

LOL @ poor Poppy's nighttime adventure! God knows how little ones get into the scrapes they do! :p

Poppy made me laugh. I'm glad she didn't freak out about it.

Loved being home just Grace and I today, we haven't had that for ages. Took her to the park this afternoon and she was very happy on the swings, until this mad dog came tearing over and jumped on her in the swing! My automatic reaction was to kick the dog to get it off her, prompting scowls from the dogs owner - don't have an insane dog off its lead in a children's play area!!!! Grace was freaked out and wanted out of the swing, she clung to me for ten minutes and wouldn't go on any of the play equipment, I felt so sorry for her, she'd been having such a nice time until then.

Poor Gracie, that would scare me now! Surely dogs aren't allowed/must be on leads in play areas? Stupid dog owner, bit of a common sense lapse there! :p

Happy, happy Friday! :) This week has whizzed by, which is a very good thing! Has anyone got nice plans for the weekend? We've got nothing going on, just lots of sofa time with maybe a little trip out so I can get some bigger PJs. I can't get over how exciting my life is now! :p

Was the dog being aggressive, or did it just want to fuss and going the completely wrong way about it? Hope it doesn't forever put her off dogs :(

Have to say, Poppy sounds like the funniest little girl! :D

This week has gone really quickly! I like the sound of your weekend plans, Birdie :D Nothing major for me, OH is out tomorrow to watch football so I've got to wait in for the post (possibly bought the last cupcake jumper in the last large - I wanted it to be roomy!!) popping to do the weekly shop, then carting Ryder off to my Parents to have tea there :) Sunday I won't even, we'll probably just watch Supernatural and I'll probably cry at several points.
