Haha wendz must have been a big weekend!! Hope you had fun! It's perfectly find to blow out sometimes I think,

Birdie you better keep in tough we want to know everything about mr baby!!! (And the cute bits you buy for him!) maybe you'd find an iPad/tablet easier?
just go empire line all the way for the dress I think.. eBay is a good shout too or tk max perhaps- I've had some good gowns from there before

Not much going on here.. The boyf got some bank charges for going overdrawn without realising which was annoying but only £12 for two days til he realised so that's ok (we def miss our zero percent student overdrafts :( ) and... Very little else to report really..

Going to have to learn to love the laptop Birdie, we want lots of photos and stories.

Getting my 45 day redundancy notice tomorrow. This just tells me I'm at risk, not that I'm definately going. We found the matrix they used to score us to decide who is going, I have to say it's seriously screwy how little weight having a disciplinary on your record carries for example. Attendance is a big one, and I was freaking out a bit tbh I'd be automatically be out the door due to having so much time off with my pregnancy and afterwards, but then right at the end of the appendix, in nice small print it says 'sickness relating to pregnancy or disability is not counted towards this total' - Hell Yeah! Given I've now had the stress/depression for over a year it's a recognised disability, and all the rest was during pregnancy. At worst I probably have a few days now from a cold or a bug or something, but nothing over the 49 days at which I'd loose points in the matrix. This is very good news as it now scores me third in my team of five, I reckon it will be one post going but possibly two, so long as it's not three I should be safe. I've actually been enjoying my job more lately, I still want to go half time to get that work-life balance a bit more sorted, but the actual work is more interesting.

NIM has an interview tomorrow, if he gets it we can afford for me to go half time when my holiday time runs out, but we would have to give Grace to someone else 2 days a week through the winter - luckily we think we've found an unemployed nursery nurse mum knows who would do it so she'd get one to one care and no increased risk of bugs etc from a nursery through the winter.

That sounds like good news Dinah. It wouldn't be fair if they counted it against you. Glad you are enjoying work more too, you will get there with the work/life balance.

Tink - annoying about the bank charges.

I have had such an expensive month. Really needed to save some towards car insurance next month but hasn't happened.

I know exactly what you are going through, although in my case nobody will be staying. Everyone I work with wants to paid off and out of the company.

OMG, super cute suit!!! You should get it, Birdie. Hope you're feeling better and more rested.

Sorry to hear about redundancy stress, Dinah it must be a depressing process. ((((Hugs)))) Good news you are scoring well on the Matrix.

Poolie, hugs to you too - would you like to stay yourself?

Massive fingers crossed for NIM! :j

Lol, Wendz! It must have been a bad hangover. Good to have a big night every once in a while.

I've got loads of changes back on my thesis draft, boo hoo. I have 6 weeks to finish now, and I am running out of steam a bit. I just want to skive off around the house and buy pretty things online :p Need to sort out my introduction instead.

    Happy Tuesday!

I personally want out before the ship really does sink. I have an interview on Thursday morning (2 hours - who has two hour interviews, especially at lunch time!). If I get offered I either need to work the dates or cut my losses and run.

Bad news about the redundancy notice (been there and survived it twice!) but good news about the scoring on the matrix. :) Really hope it goes well for you, not sure if it would be a good or bad thing if you mention that you might be looking to go part time, they could be looking for a job share so someone else gets to keep a part time role too? :)

Don't panic ladies, I'll make sure I get over my laptop aversion, my issue is that I don't like typing on my lap (kind of defeats the object of having a lap-top!) so I'll just have to sit at the table to talk to you! :)

Annoying about the bank charges Tink, at least it was only £12.

We're having a very expensive time ATM too, payday used to be treats day, now it's baby stuff day! :o Should have everything we need by Christmas though so we can concentrate on savings... for a whole month before my ML starts!. :o

Good news about the possible childcare for Grace. Sounds ideal really, hope it works out! :)

Really hope the next 6 weeks flies by in a not-too stressful haze Lara! Good luck on getting all the changes done... can you see the light yet?! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Hey all, left with butterflies in my stomach, told me I wont hear about the next stage till at least next week. REALLY want this one, the company is exciting and the plans they have for the next 3-5 years are EXACTLY the kind of thing I want to be involved in.

Poolie good luck thursday, I will be just leaving Nottingham as I've not managed to get my Thursday Morning ped count covered so I've to get to the hospital for about a quarter to 7 in the morning. Meaning leaving mine at 5!!!.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.
