I think with all these home improvements we need some house-tour photos on the FB group so show off. :) Mainly because I'm nosey and want to see how everyone lives... but surely it's nice to share and to get opinions on empty spaces that need filling etc? :)

Huge congrats Lara! Have you just found out?

New iron arrived this morning, was even more excited than for the new shirt the postman was also carrying. I'm going to need to be harsh and have a wardrobe cull, over half of it doesn't fit or I've had 5+ years and never wear anymore, it drives me mad hunting through so much clothing to find something I actually want to wear.

Got Grace a walker to try to encourage her to get toddling, I don't think she understands the concept though!

500 words written yesterday on the nose, not lots but better than 0. I'm being a lot more easy going with myself lately, so long as I try it's better than not doing anything at all.

Oooh you've got to love a good wardrobe cull! I need to go through mine *again*, no matter how many times I do it there always seems to be half a dozen things that make it through unscathed that I don't even wear any more but I'm keeping for various silly reasons! :o

Grace is too cute! Good on her for thinking outside the box and making other uses of the walker! :)

Grace is so cute "it's my toy and I will play with it as I see fit!!"

My little monster climbed out of his cot last week so we've had to put a stair gate on top of the stairs now too!

Birdie, I will post pictures of my dining room on FB. It will make you all feel very pleased and [STRIKE]smug[/STRIKE] grateful that you are not living here with me at the moment

Oooh glad it arrived! looking forward to seeing what you do with it! :) Sorry it took a while, I just never got chance (read: was too lazy once I got home from work to move again:o) to go to the PO last week until I ended up with 3 parcels that desperately needed sending so dragged myself there! :p

Thanks ladies, I just found out on Saturday. Just 4 weeks so very early days, hoping that things will go well :) It was a bit of a surprise as we were going to wait until after my PhD stress, but we are very pleased.

Great news on the tiles, Cinny!

    That's ace news, Lara, congratulations!

Loved your update Dinah, really positive - and glad you're enjoying so much quality time with Grace, she looks so bouncy and gorgeous, it's hard to believe she could be the cause of so much heartache. Enjoy all your mummy time :)

Hey Ruby! Nice to 'see' you back here! Glad things are going well and you're back to planning the wedding! Are you still getting married abroad? :)

Thanks Birdie and Congratulations to you and Lara! :j I hope there isn't something in the water, it's not something I could deal with right now!

I think we're going to end up getting married in the UK now to be honest. It's not what I want but I'm all about the compromise. We've both got next week off work so we're going to sit down, write a guest list so we have a basic idea of numbers and then so and look at a couple of venues in the area. I think we're going to be under 50 guests for the day and definitely under 100 for the evening so we might be able to good deal somewhere. We can always have a "symbolic" ceremony abroad at a later date.

How lovely to read your positive posts, you certainly seemed to have turned a corner with regards your 'positive/negative' thoughts :j

Sometimes its easy to see everything in a negative manner and really difficult to see the positives. You have turned that corner, what a happier place you are in xxxx

With regards children, I cannot speak for myself as at nearly 41 years old (:eek:how did that happen:eek:) I don't have any, however I can tell you about my husbands brother and his wife. They got married 14 years ago, a gorgeous little girl was born 10 months later, they tried and tried for a second child, but sadly despite trying allsorts of IVF etc. a second child wasn't to be for them. They both struggled terribly with this for many many years, then eventually they met up with an old school friend who had sadly lost her husband shortly after getting married and then miscarried the child she was expecting.....as sad as this was, it put things into perspective for them; sometimes you need to enjoy and embrace the life (and in yours and NIMs case the beautiful daughter you have).

You have both been through so much, life is far too short to spend it worrying about the what if's in life. Easier said than done.....and spoken by someone who has suffered on and off for the last 10 years with depression, but I 'think' even I have learnt what is important to ME now.:o

Sorry i'm waffling now!! But I'm REALLY HAPPY THAT YOU ARE HAPPIER :-)

Congratulations Lara!! Is she another one of your dream people, Tete? I don't mean to worry you but I dreamt you and Zig had babies a couple nights a go (Lara too, maybe I have the gift now! :D)

ME? No thanks, but if you could dream me up a nice boyfriend and a windfall that would be ace ta!

No I didn't dream about Birdie or Lara - my third eye must be too busy worrying about my own future come September to think about anyone else at this stage :o

Is Gracie being suspended by something in those pics??

I'm with you on the wardrobe overhaul ladies, had my school induction today and felt distinctly scruffy in something I'd normally happily wear to work ... especially when they started talking about their high standards for uniform for the pupils (and the implication that we need to set an example) :o Need to be less cardigan, more blazer I think, which is a shame because cardigans are basically my favourite thing ever.

Nice to see some strangers (naming no names Poolie, TPA and Poddle!) - hope you're all well!

What's happening with the meet? Who's coming? x
