Called up the benefits line, shes put a note on the system so hopefully I'll be sent a change in circumstances form instead of an out and out cancellation.

Can anyone with kids give me some hints on how to stop Grace biting please? I don't know if it's a teething thing or just exploring but she's got sharp teeth and when she bites my hand or collarbone she breaks the skin!

Poppy has only bitten me a couple of times (usually in excitement). To be honest as I was in shock I said very sternly 'you do not bite mummy' to which she burst into tears. Not sure if best technique lol .

Going for my first wedding dress alteration appointment today.

Cant help there sorry. Noah bites lots of other things when hes teething but (touch wood) has never bitten me or anyone else. Has she got lots of teethers that she can munch on if it is her teeth hurting?

Yeah but my collarbone and kneecap are her favourites. I'm not sure if she thinks shes kissing me as she always grins before she does it! I choose to believe the kissing explanation rather than I have a baby who takes unbridled joy from causing me pain.

    Errr, bite her back?! ;)

Happy Friday, gang! :j Hope you've all got nice weekend plans. :) We've got a birthday party tomorrow night (I have to figure out how to explain why I'm not drinking!!) and dinner with the in-laws on Sunday for MIL's birthday (and Father's day... but mainly her birthday!). Also have to fit in seeing the new Superman movie at some point too. :)

Exciting stuff about your dress fitting Wendz... means the wedding's getting even closer! :T
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

You're right Dinah, she doesn't mean you any harm and although its not nice for you its not a major problem the concern is that she might start doing it to other children at groups etc..

DS started hitting his daddy and I, more out of frustration I think because he couldn't tell us what he wanted, but he goes to a lot of baby groups and I was worried he would start doing it to other children. A firm 'no' and being taken out of the situation slowly but surely got the message through. He very rarely does it now and when hes frustrated now he usually takes himself off into the corner to stamp his feet by himself :rotfl:

No parental advice (obviously) but a friend of mine has a little boy a few months older than Grace who also bites her (also accompanied with grinning). She is also trying to say a firm 'no' but he is a very cheeky little monkey with a wicked grin which makes it very hard not to laugh when he does it, even though it does hurt! Like I said,no advice but just wanted to let you know that you aren't alone! Hopefully it will just be a short lived phase!
