". . . we need to see proof of Identification, be it a passport or driving licence or birth certificate we have to do this by post as it is not acceptable to view copies under UK law . . . "
What "law" would that be?

Sensee is an outsourcer for customer service advisers for the likes of Argos, Aviva, Photobox.
There I have said it and now the truth is out there and the reason they take great care over who they bring in is due to the fact they dont know the person behind the door so that is why they go through such a vast checking process with every employee.
The CEO of Sensee is Steve Mosser and he is a reasonable guy but his HR Team suck big time and the chances of you getting through the stages is like trying to get into Fort Knox.
The work is genuine but if you don't fit in then Sensee will find a reason to get rid of you.
I know a few people working the systems and some have been there 3 years or more
If this working model is not good for you then you can always try Arise but to be honest both have their merits and both have their weaknesses.
Other companies you could try are CRM360 who deal with hospital appointment bookings etc.
Yes I know I am new to the site, well as a member but not with the expertise I have after about 10 years of homeshoring now.
It can work but you have to be ready to jump over more hurdles than a normal job due to the security in place.

There's a variety of companies who have homeworking programmes -You might be surprised how often you're speaking to a homeworker when you assume you are talking to someone in a call centre !
Some will only offer employment to staff who have already worked in their bricks and mortar call centres - others take the view they have a wider pool of candidates recruiting externally but that means as interviews are done by webcam or phone they do need to be particually picky about confirming identity and credentials-after all these workers have access to a lot of your personal data and there's no-one physically looking over their shoulder to see what they are doing (although there is digitally !) Bearing that in mind it seems reasonable to me that I needed to jump through a few more hoops than I would if I was interviewed face to face (I don't work for Sensee but another at home company as I mentioned earlier in the thread). Naturally I still gossip with people who have moved on and I haven't heard anything bad about Sensee-the only thing stopping me applying really is the fact I'm currently on fixed shifts and I don't fancy swopping that for bidding for shifts (although the flexibility has advantages)...or rather didn't. There's a lot of changes where I work with shift patterns so maybe I should applyI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Another thing people don't know is that if you work for Sensee then they will not allow you to work for any other homeworking/homeshoring company.
Even though you should have a right to work for who you please in any other job that I know of. I totally agree with Duchy but to put it blatantly you either fit or you dont homeworking/homeshoring is not for everyone.
I did actually catch one of their advisers out a few weeks ago as I called the Aviva Client and asked if the person Stacey was a home worker and she denied it and later on when calling back I had it confirmed that she was in fact a homeworker and she blatantly lied - Heck this is insurance we are talking about and I am sure the governing bodies would have a field day with this. Would not mind if she was honest but to lie - that's an insult. Aviva needs to be more honest and Sensee need to push for transparency. Oh by the way I did give you some rave reviews via the feedback form and got my £20 in vouchers.0 -

I worked for Sensee, they are definately not a scam company, yes there were a lot of checks prior to starting the job, it was a pain and a bit expensive when you don't have much money but I understood the reasons for them asking, the equipment required prior to even knowing if you have the job was a bit daft. Ok the job itself, they do keep a weeks wages but you get it back after 3 months, the training is specific to the job, I wouldnt say though it was that intensive or something you could use elsewhere specifically. I worked on 2 different contracts, booking hours is horrendous its a free for all and you can end up with hours spread over the week and not all together which makes it impossible to plan free days or other work, weekend working on both the contracts I was on were compulsary as is fulfilling your stared hours each week so you have to take what you can, whoever said HR sucks, they are not far wrong, in my experience important documents did not get sent out to staff in error, I was always paid on time and not for myself but another colleague was never paid correctly so you need to keep track of your hours, the pay is poor but they have to make money and selling cheap labour is how they get the contracts in the first place. Most of the people i came into contact with are nice and all have different reasons why they work from home, the live desks are not organised very well and you can be left feeling very isolated and in my opinion team leaders and managers could do with more training. The companies want to make money obviously and whilst it isn't cold sales, it is push push push with stats and kpi's, commission is used as a tool to help you perform well but there are lots of things that can get in the way of you earning this so it shouldnt be relied on. I am painting a somewhat bleak picture, some people enjoy it but it isnt for everyone and for some its a way to get back into work or because they cant leave home etc. The real benefit is not having to commute but when i was there even that didnt seem such a bad prospect in the end I was fed up with feeling like the bottom of the food chain by the company and the customers i spoke to. Someone once said the reason no one ever sees any bad press or many comments about current staff who work there is because they trawl networking sites for bad press and clean up, but that's just heresay.0

Hi
I am new to this forum but I do work for Sensee Ltd. Yes they do pay your wages on time, but you are expected to perform to very high standards for pennies above min wage.
I know you would have no work cloths to buy or travel costs but remember the initial out lay a computer dedicated to work, Voip headset, telephone headset, an office somewhere in your house plus the desk and chair. Not only do you have those but heating costs and electric.
If for any reason you BB goes down or you have any problems with software (that they deem your problem) you get docked your pay.
I do enjoy the contract I am on but it's the forever changing goal posts I can't do with
Sorry will get off my soapbox now xx0 -

Depending on the requirements for the PC needed to access their system, you might get away with repurposing an old PC.
If all their data access is via a web browser, then an old PC with Linux on would do the job.
If not browser based, then any PC/Laptop running Windows Vista/7/8 would be needed (Not XP though as it is no longer supported and could provid a hacker with a way in).Never Knowingly Understood.

Hi, this is my first post on this website, I've been lurking a while!
I'm looking into working form home on an employed basis, and am having a telephone interview with sensee on Tuesday.....
Has anyone worked for them? Any tips for the interview?
