Hate it when this happens in a thread. Either op got something lush and is still celebrating or is busy shouting at her hubby

    SORRY all, Im here!!!!!

Found out he did indeed spend £150 up the pub, including buying drinks for his friend who is currently jobless

Had a lovely 30th birthday, had a family lunch in a lovely hotel

And did I get a surprise gift from the OH?........No

To be honest Im not bothered about presents at all, it was just the fact he lied and said he was using the money to go shopping and then didnt. Maybe I did over react, but I'd rather hear the truth than some load of old rubbish

Thanks for updating us!! :) Finally ;)

    Glad you had a lovely 30th :D

:p to your OH!! Maybe you did overreact. Maybe you didn't. You're the best judge of that now that the big day has come and gone.

Have you spoken to OH and told him how you felt about it?

  • Could there really be a man THAT stupid that he would voluntarily take an early verbal lashing for something he still has an opportunity to get out of?

It would appear so. Suggest you find someone else to reproduce with.:)
I'm sorry he let you down (and that I took the !!!! a tiny bit). I will now go and re-evaluate everything else I ever I've done.
Incidentally, I don't think you're overreacting.. I'd say six months no sex minimum! (for him..not for you :D)

    :starmod:you're awesome.. act like it:starmod:

I'm not bothered about presents either. It's the thought that counts. However, it seems he thinks more of his friend than you.

I'd be even more mad now.

Thanks for the update, glad you had an enjoyable birthday but surely his selfish thoughlessness p*ssed you off a little?

I don't think you did over-react, if my OH had done that - depending on his attitude later - he would either still be in the dog-house frantically pedalling to make it up to me or he would be residing elsewhere. ;)

You do realise you have given him permission to carry on treating you like !!!!?

Hi OP - just skimmed through this thread and haven't read all 140+ posts but I'm glad you had a nice birthday in the end.

Your OH sounds like a selfish pr*ck to me, spending all the money on himself, owning up to it and STILL not getting you anything. Hope he's in the doghouse and destined to be there for some time.

But at least you'll know what to do when his birthday comes around. Blow the budget on a treat for yourself or have a stomping night out with the girls. You can call it a belated pressie from him. ;)
