I am thinking along the same lines as Pollycat, I speculate that he did have something nice lined up and she was pleasantly surprised and as Pollycat says, is a bit embarrassed to come back and say that.

Had he not done anything, I think that the thread may have continued.............

I wouldnt be embarassed to come back and say so, Id be delighted to come back and say things went well.

I would too but the OP might be embarrased about getting so upset about something that didnt happen.

I was just agreeing with Pollycat because that it is what I thought too.

We can all differ in our thoughts but OP could come back and let us know :D

    OP?

Well, only two ways it could have gone, he either got her a present or he didnt and tbh if he didnt, well there was enough said about the way he manages cash to have alarm bells ringing I think.

Plus, shes trying for a baby with him so if he didnt come through with the present like she had hoped perhaps shes had a lot of thinking to do about whether she really wants a child and a future with this man.
  • If it turns out that he has spent it on a beautiful surprise, how many of us will refute all our insults?

    Maybe?

Well, given that the general consensus is that the "Evil" boyfreind is not in fact the spawn of Satan. he may have indeed supplied something nice, under instruction with his own money. Then maybe....

Will there be those that are willing to re-adjust those other possibly unwarranted statements.

Revising negative statements? .. I'm guessing not. I just wanted to know whether I should feel bad for the "".
Had her birthday sucked, I think I'd be feeling rather mean. I suspect (and hope) she jumped the gun.
As there has been no evidence to the contrary, my conscience is feeling pretty good. (well .. relatively speaking). :)

    :starmod:you're awesome.. act like it:starmod:
