That is our debt[STRIKE] before[/STRIKE] with taking the mortgage into account.
I am determined to crack this over the next few years and hopefully, one or two of you may follow me as I travel one more step along the road...
Mortgage is lots and lots, part interest and part repayment - best to park that for now.
I have done a SOA which I am too embarrassed to show but I will point out some bright spots on the horizon
1. My Zopa loan ends next month so I will be £207 per month better off.
2. My car loan ends in November so I will be around £100 per month better off
3. I am up to date on C Tax and have no CCJ's etc
4. I have stopped buying alcohol ergo drinking alcohol and that means I am £300 per month better off.
5. 5 year fixed rate end next March so I can move the mortgage if necessary.
In the meantime, I am maxed out on the cards and living on contents of cupboards, lentil lasagne last night, spinach pancakes tonight. I may push the boat out tomorrow and buy some suet to make a steak and kidney pudding (without kidneys).
That's it for now - I just wanted to get the ball rolling and will pop in to update over the next day or two

Hi Joanne
I am new to having a diary too. My debt is very high, I have maxed out on credit and like you I am drastically cutting down on my alcohol consumption as I have been spending a shocking amount per month
I am going to subscribe and follow your journey

Wahey - already on the road...
It's cold here (somewhere north of Watford) but instead of putting the heating on, as we have for the last few nights, I sent DH up the garden to collect some wood and now we have the stove lit.
Warm as toast and smelling all rustic!
