Tell me about it :( DH also suffers with insomnia & takes medication to help. He told me at the weekend that he had tripled his dose since stopping drinking! Aaargh! I understand why but he does behave like a muppet! Anyway, he has said he'll go to the doctors this week to discuss...

My advice would be have good sleep hygiene - carry out the same routine every night, don't sleep at all during the day (chance would be a fine thing!) and avoid all stimulants after lunchtime :rotfl:

All 1st of the month DD's came out overnight and I have £4 to last until payday on 15th.
I went out and put some [STRIKE]petrol[/STRIKE]diesel in tonight on DH credit card, it's all the same to me but he gets uptight when I say I'm going to put some petrol in, I know what I mean.
Packed lunches all made. I have tuna sandwiches and a tomato for lunch tomorrow

    Goodnight

    Quick drop in tonight

It would have been a NSD except that instead of sending DH out for cartridges for the printer, I volunteered to go. I bought a multipack of 4 for £36.99.
Now I just need to get on with helping DS with his homework - a project on Nelson Mandela
I almost forgot, alcohol free today (not yesterday I was given a bottle by a grateful client) so that's another few bob [STRIKE]saved[/STRIKE] unspent

Thank you, it feels like 1 step forward then slouch back against the wall, particularly with all the big spends this month (car related).

At least I'm not spending on the booze and associated "odz'n'sodz" that I pick up when out buying my bottle(s)

so tired today, I didn't fall asleep last night until around 04;30 and then was up at 7 to do the school run etc.
No particular reason why I can't sleep, I suppose it's just stopping the red wine and my body adjusting.

Nothing major to note today, just the usual day at work, usual suspects putting obstacles in my way and refusing to co operate or speak to each other and thinking they can use me as an intermediary.

I invited another manager to a team meeting and one of the team managers I manage announced he was withdrawing the invitation as he didn't want him talking to "his staff"
I had to remind him that he and they are all my staff and I decide who comes to meetings.
I hate throwing my weight around but for crying out loud - grow up, it's only a job!

Venting over, twin 1 wants to show me something on the trampoline so I'll be back later

  • Lol! I know what you mean about staff - I sometimes find myself adopting my authoritative mother voice and calling my staff by their full name.

Maybe you should introduce a naughty step or time out corner?

OMG - 20+ years of managing staff and I hadn't thought of that:D:D

I'm going to have to get my thinking cap on and designate a naughty step.
I'll announce it at the next team meeting.

Mind you, it may conflict with the"dignity at work"policy:rotfl:
