Fined For Throwing Apple Core

lol marleyboy that made me laugh a bit too much!

Just right getting finned too. Too many people get away with it. We have an advert over here of somebody throwing an apple core on the ground and a little kid picking it up to try and eat it. Ok this wouldnt happen on this occasion but litter is litter. Feeding a duck is different if you ask me as your intention is to feed the duck, not to just get rid of the slice of bread you have for some reason been carting about.

..to read this thread, as my Nan made a revelation at her 90th birthday recently ....

My dad threw an apple core (in 1946, aged 2) into the unmade-up garden of a new block of flats his grandma had just moved into ... the lady upstairs dished out 'six of the best' to my dad .. and my nan dished out 'a dozen of even better than the best' to the lady!!!! The lady took my nan to court and my nan ended up being fined 10 bob and bound over to keep the peace!!

My nan then got her revenge by telling the lady's husband, on his return from the Army, that his wife had been 'entertaining' other men in their flat (apparently this was true!) - sweet revenge!!!!

Apple cores .. more trouble than they're worth I reckon! (particularly as the apple my dad had hadn't been come by in totally honest circumstances - well, rationing was still in force back then!!!!):rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
