  • Shopping done, and car fuelled. DD was spot on again with the calculator, and DS was only £1.54 out today - obviously had added the cost of the chocolate spread twice. But he's only four and getting the hang of it beautifully.
Pleased to be done shopping in Sainsbury's. The militant behaviour with the calculators has made me more observant of price rises. Bread is up 10p a loaf from last week, beans 1p a tin, and tinned pasta 5p a tin. Used my voucher, and next week it'll be back to Ald! no doubt.
Now, on with this marking I need to do.

Hey Wannabe_in_credit glad to see you have changed your groceries budget to £180 from £1800 in your signature. Your 4 year old puts me to shame.

If you are still reading this I am not fat and all the food talk is because all I am doing at the moment is working, sleeping and eating, or not it would seem... Actually I am living on the edge... finishing off the pakoras at 2am this morning meant I ate them two days after their best before.

Good day to you MoneyMash! This is my life to a tee. I finished this morning at 0700 and am already back in work until 2300..I always have an attack of the munchies on nights but am literally starving when I wake up.. I can understand the addiction to ceral - mine is rice krispies. I found out that Lilds own brand although around £1.79 are double the weight...:T.. it's all about porridge now for me though so I am not allowed them..(might be my treat at the end of the month)..Sometimes I would find a plethora of yellow sticker goodies to have on nights as no-one else goes to the local Mr T at 2200 on a Saturday night unless for junk food and alcohol... ( I get the fruit, pasta and bread)..:T:T:T

Good day all.... so the :mad::mad: of the day is me getting home so tired I leave my iphone plus headphones on my bed for the moggy to chew through. Am so annoyed - only had them 4 days. Back to Amazon Trade-In to use the last of my credit to buy new ones....

WannaBe - the cutest little thing ever is to hear a 4 year old using a calculator.. that is AMAZING! I use one aswell though... I hate the guestimation on weighing stylee items though... My planned spendy day is tomorrow.. cannot wait - amseriously out of food now..

This is short and sweet for the moment as I have a few bits to do at work..

    Onwards and Upwards....

P.S - dreamt of buying a very expensive watch with "Onwards and Upwards" ingraved on the back when I am debt free..:rotfl:

Can't believe nobody told me I'd put £1800 in there. I have no idea what you all must think I eat. Lolol.
Ordered some school uniform for the kids as it's on 20% off at M&S, and I prefer the quality of M&S to the supermarket stuff. I find it lasts much longer. It's another £35 down but both kids now have most of their school uniform for next year. Just the school jumpers and shoes left to get. I'll need to revise that budget up a little as last order date for the jumpers is 11 June so the £50 is already out of the water, but then less to buy in July (in fact nothing)
Finished my urgent marking - there's still another stack to do. Been out in the garden and strimmed just about everything. Just the grass to cut and hubby has been promising to do that for a week now so I've left the mower out as a rather large hint. He's been sleeping off a hangover for most of the afternoon in spite of my best efforts with the strimmer. I really, really hate gardening.

  • I'm sorry I didn't check in last night -there are so many great posts to catch up on. Welcome to the newbies and it's so nice to see some familiar names on back on here...I must admit, I do like reading all the snippets of people's lives so it's lovely to catch up on what's been happening with you all!

So inspired by wanna_be_in_credit (and your children) - I've never thought of going round the shops with a calculator before! Definitely something I am now going to try.

Yesterday was a SFD, so I was glad to start the month off positively. Today I spent £9 on a planned post-party breakfast and coffee catch up, but I was more proud that afterwards we looked in a couple of gorgeous shops and I didn't buy anything. Very unlike me....maybe this super saving is going to stick!
