Afternoon!
Off to a good start - today = SFD number 2
My aim this week, besides staying on track financially, is to get into some kind of daily routine - so that I:
a) Get enough sleep.
b) Have time to do exercises to help strengthen core/posture, and meditate for 10 minutes in the morning before work.
c) Prepare lunch the night before.
d) Go to the gym Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat.
e) Limit shopping trips to once a week to preserve SFDs.
Am also going back to the 'envelope system' (using clear plastic wallets) and drawing out money for my food, spends and fuel later today. When it's gone - it's gone!!!
Have a great evening everyone!!!

I didn't realise we had moved.. I always go to my subscribes or threads I have started.. I am sorry about that but they seem to change us about as and when they feel like it.. I shall enquire...
Two hours down - six to go... I want my bed! Been craving fruit recently... good thing I made some apple sauce from all those apples I "acquired" at work.. weird snack I know but with some sultanas and a drop of sugar it beats chocolate for me hands down... dollop on some plain yoghurt and hey I am anyone's...(doesn't take much clearly)....“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Evening
Just back to confirm my second SFD today. Won't be one tomorrow though as I need some fuel and possibly some food.

Had to buy a hutch. 60 quid(well 69 but had 9 quid in paypal), free delivery.
bit of a night mare day to be honest. 3 spiders, one rotten hutch, accidental tutoring, possible work in the summer.
realised I have 7 weeks to research my dissertation. Think I may cry.
need a BIG plan.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
Hi everyone, just a quick one from me tonight. Been shopping after work and didn't spend much just on milk, cereal, veggies and bananas, so pleased with that. Also put my fuel for the month (the car was on empty) so it'll be interesting to see how long it lasts - I am hoping it will be until the end of the month, but it depends on how many times I go to visit DGC.
Had a job finding you all, thought you'd all gone on holiday and left me on my own!!!!

Oh blimey, thought I had lost you all. Must subscribe to this thread.
So I went to do the food shopping today - £83 in Aldi for my fortnightly shop but I went over budget a bit last month so it cancels out.
I also went into Asda for a birthday card. I want to sort the bottom of my wardrobe out and nearly bought some plastic storage boxes. Then I thought about what Kat would say and I stopped. My wardrobe has been in a mess for about 10 years so there is absolutely no rush to spend money sorting it out right now.
Abundant, I am with you on the envelopes. Need to go and get some cash out for school dinners too.
Oh and I have a plan to increase my SFDs. I am going to shop once a week on a Wednesday for bread, milk etc and not go near the shops the rest of the time. This is my additional little challenge for June.
Right, back to work tomorrow after a week off so its going to be busy. Need to get organised for the morning! Thanks for the support everyone.0 -
Grrr this silly thread movement! Glad you found us NannyG...
Quick one from me.... scored tomorrow off work! YEAH!! SO.... I shall be able to spend time in Morrisons comparing prices with Tescos Extra - then heading to Lidls and back to Morrisons and then finding Aldis and possibly back to Tescos and maybe just maybe a trek to Asda.
I love my life!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. OK, I said I'd join for the relevant bits.
1: ensure I have planned for lunches at work and have either food in the fridge there (or leftovers) to avoid buying mayonnaise loaded sandwiches or a meal deal from the garage 2 doors away.
2: No lottery tickets. Waste of ruddy time. yes, I've finally realised that:D
3: No books whether Kindle or yer actual paper, fabric, DVD's, BluRays or CD's. I have enough to last me several months.
4: More home cooking.
I don't think any trips out are planned; however, there are Family Things to deal with that will involve some travel. I will do these as frugally as possible...
And I am grateful that I am not in debt and am using this exercise to stay that way for as long as possible.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Quick post before bedtime to log spends.
Yesterday - weekly shop £38 at Mr A's, £15 at the market stalls and £12 in HB.
Today - £15 trip to seaside, ice creams and a round of mini golf.
In other news, I have a new addition to the family - a little kitten my dad found abandoned yesterday (:() in the long grass by the canal, left in an old tatty bed with some biscuits and a toy. Must only be about 6wks old at a guess as he's not got all his teeth yet. Booking vets appt for later this week to get him checked over, an unexpected but incredibly cute expense
Will catch up on posts tomorrow xxx0
