Whoop Whoop! Yesterday was payday and I had a night off work. Although I got royally hassled to work, I put my foot down, another 6 in a row is just not happening.

I am so happy to have made it to pay day on what was a ridiculously small budget, although not as small as yours NSK.

So I checked my online banking and when my statement was generated on the 26th June, my balance was 0, for the first time since March 2009 I was not in my overdraft. I have cleared the hardest debt of all, and I am keeping it that way.

This month I can still make a size-able over payment to my debts and still have some spends. However, the money and the power has sent me on a crazy spending spree, some of it necessary and some of it not so necessary. This is the first bit of money I have been free to spend since June last year ( I think) so I will let myself off.

Forgive my lack of checking in of late. Last night was a spend (essential) day for food! £30 spend on food already but I was out of everything! Still haven't got all I need- lentils/tinned toms etc..

Abundant- yes to the tins. I opened mine last week and have been carrying the cash ready to deposit for a week now with no time to get to the bank. SFD today and should be tomorrow as well leaving me just about happy! I think July might be expensive food wise for me but here's to a Vegan/ Sugar free July and better health..:-))..

Will check in again before bed..

    Hello all

Sorry I haven't been on in a while. I've had a really long stressful week, nothing major just all at once. We actually went into our overdraft by £15 this month and probably spent too much today after payday yesterday. I HAVE TO BE REALLY STRICT WITH MYSELF FOR JULY especially as August will probably be an overspend with feeling crap before and after baby.

Well, plan for last day of June is to bake lots, tidy the living room as we've gained 2 'new' sofas, get a 'free' quote for some decorating and get us ready for the new week. Other than DH going to archery it should be a SFD for me.

    MORNING!!!!

What a gorgeous day!! I have a few hours before my overtime shift so I thought I would make the most of it and actually get up before noon!:rotfl:

I shall be considering transferring my extra funding to my loan tonight but feel it might be a little more satisying doing it tomorrow when I know what interest has been added.. and the normal payment taken out. We shall see how I can stand the pressure of my inner penny-pinching self...

Off into town today..."to price check" Lidl's fruit and veg against Tesco. I hated having to do one shop in Tesco on Friday night but I was totally out of foodage and needed to replenish stocks at 2000 at night with no access to Lidls / Morrisons etc... who'd have thought all this healthy eating would cost so much...:rotfl:

So my food budget has upped itself a little this month to improve my sanity... I would like to replace everything for vegan / sugar free etc but baking ingredients are SO expensive...

Anyhoo... we are NEARLY DONE!!! June is nearly out the window and we can start kick-start July properly!! I didn't want to mention the big "C" word that is approaching in 6 months but it's something everyone will possibly want to start saving for as well... #groan.

I shall sign off officially later tonight.... ANYONE WITH LAST THOUGHTS ON THE MONTH PLEASE POST THEM... :T:T:T

Well - end of June finally. This half of the year has been an uphill struggle in lots of ways... so am determined the last six months are going to go more smoothly...

Thanks to everyone for their support - I feel like I have regained my focus at last and am back on the wagon again...

So - am signing out of June with 15 SFD and even though my budgets went to pot, I have renewed enthusiasm for next month's challenge!!!

Signing out for June, would have been better if I hadn't had to fork out for those glasses, that I still haven't got!!!!

SFD just fell short as I forgot a couple of things on my last shop, and I went over on the food budget by a couple of pounds, but otherwise it was a good month. Need to keep it up until my holibobs in October (being paid for - very MSE!!!!)

Hurrah, we made it!! Some of us had harder times than others but the important thing is that we kept going-well done to all of us :)

I ended up with £2.20 left in my food budget, £44.96 left in my misc budget (which has now been divided between a £20 cheque for my driving licence renewal, £20 in gifts (games and books) for my family visit next month and £4.96 into my coin jar!). When I look at the extra expenses I had in June (mounting to over £900 ) I'm stunned that I made it, never mind made it with cash to spare. Thank you all for keeping me on the straight and narrow!

    See you all in July......
