Pay day arrived and after all expenses have gone out including my £375 off debts, I have £56 spare. That's *if* I stick to a food budget of £100. If I cut back on my PT sessions, I have £136 spare... so that could be another £100 off my debts... Sound like a plan?

Ha ha, I never thought there would be anyone stricter than our Kat, but why is it not an extra £136 off your debts :rotfl:

Ah ha!!! Point well made Siouxsie!!!!

Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".

Helloooo...she whispers hoping no-one has noticed her absence... I've lost my way re posts, still been money saving but lack of posts from me is rubbish and I haven't been keeping a total of SFDs. I won't bore you with the detail but feel a bit like a hamster on its wheel as I'm sure lots of you do too. Anyhoo, 2 weeks off work mid July should get me back on track and I'll rejoin in August.

I'll look forward to reading the July thread and wish you all the very best for next month!! Hope you have a lovely weekend folks :-)))

Ok....no excuses ....I went to Harrogate for a blistering good couple of days which I deserved....out of the blue but..
Anyway hotel £47. Petrol £57. Meal out £33. Bits and pieces about a £10. So that screwed my budget and my sfd...

However..I am still able to chunk off a lump from the C C as I put the spends on my card to defer the money until August...where I will looking at the final run in...
I will adjust the signature when I do the spreadsheet ...

I am up for July but will cost in all anticipated expenses and if people want the pleasure of my company. They can have it as long as its free

See you in July. ( disappointed of Essex ) :p

Actually. I did good ....I have spent this month under half of what I normally spend on a quiet month...so what with the two away days...I could have done better.....well done me.
I now feel full of pith and vigour ready for the battle of July.....
  • Morning all.
Yesterday would have been a sfd if I hadn't needed liquid gold. Double run every day to take dd to school and back when I'm off sick is crippling me. I spent £60 just on fuel last week.
Still, doctor says I need the time off, so time off it is.
Today should be a sfd - off to my mum's later where I always get fed and watered.
I've signed up for July. I'm going to be desperate if I get signed off from work again after this sick note runs out.

    Morning all.

The deed is done. Reduced my Personal Training sessions by half thus saving £80 per month. I reckon from August onwards I should be able to scrape together an extra £150 or so a month... on top of my usual. I had a few bits owing to various pots for July so am left with £90. If I can - I want to make that up to £125 somehow, as this = 1% of my debts. Together with my usual £375 (3%) that would be a good chunk off.

Today I'm out with a friend but am going to do my best to keep it a SFD. I'm going to use up what points I have on cards too, to try and reach next month's targets... and write *everything* down. I'm also merging my food and spends allowances and seeing how that works. That way if I want a bit more fruit or veg, I can still get it without feeling I've failed... but on the flip side, money for other things will be less that week. Having one amount in my wallet should be easier to manage. When it's gone its gone!

Right... catch you all later on :)

    Kat...

    A quick question.

Do you remember the Money Tin's we started on Dec 31st? Well mine is pretty much full... and so as we're half wat through the year now, I was wondering if I can empty that one straight into my ISA (where it will be earning pennies!) and get myself a new one for the next 6 months?

    Can I? Can I? Pleeeeeeeeeease???

    :D

    Hello,

Well June has been a nightmare for various reasons. Still not got access to my online banking and have had two unexpected spends - car 170 and pets £353...........

That was essentially the money I had saved/not yet spent to go
on the loan. I will have to look at things again after all my money has gone out.

I *REALLY* wanted the loan gone this month......I may just borrow out of my savings. which I know it is nuts to have but it is part of the Buffy plan.

Loan currently stands at 1000.47, I will pay off 500 in July and have 500 left. I think I will make it my mission to get the loan down by another 200 pounds. I am going to sell some stuff on Preloved and count up all my change!

    xxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
