Well, ive had a shock - friend from DSs football has just phoned to say the phone call i missed (had a call last night during House, but i dont answer the phone during my fav prog!!) was from his football coach, and one of the linesmen at the match thought i was lovely!!! Dont know what he looks like, or anything else, and i dont know whether to be flattered or embarrased!!! Will be interesting tomorrow at the match i suppose!!!
Going to have a glass of wine to help me calm down, im all flustered now!!!
Didnt read the end of yesterdays thead until today, so just wanted to say WELL DONE to VickyA on her new job, and hope Grannyboon feels better now xxx
Hope everyone has a lovely evening, (and not too many kitkats taplady!!!)
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Evening :hello:
Well, spent longer than anticipated at ex-priest's funeral, thanks to getting involved in a fascinating conversation about said ex-priest's life. Let's just say he was something of a characterThe congregation loved the music and we in the choir got lots of compliments.
Also did my mystery shop (which took all of 5 mins once I got there) and keyed my results (which toook slightly longer as my connection went down  - hope it all went through OK.) I need all the MS jobs I can get as I MUST get a new laptop. I can't cope with this one being on a life support system! On the plus side, my ex (the PC whiz) says he will be able to install MS Office on my new one (as he did on my current one) free of charge, so if I have a budget of (for example) £500 for a new computer, I don't then have to find another £300 for Office! I don't have an official "laptop fund" as such, but as of today (payday) my "Happy Cash" pot (as JackieO would put it!) currently stands at £275.72 so that's what I have to try and add to (and not spend on other things!). I want another Dell, and although they aren't cheap, they always have good deals on.
Glad to be home though! I'm off to do some tidying up (and to watch some TV - well, it is Friday night after all!)
Dinner - no idea. Better decide soon or I will end up going for a Chinese takeaway
Anyway big hugs to everybody
Edit: whooohoooo catowenHope he's fit

:hello: Hello!
Just popped in to say we are back safe and sound despite a bumpy journey over the Atlantic, guess it makes up for not getting on the latest ride at Kennedy Space Centre! Still quite jet lagged, feels like Thursday has never ended with next to no night! Special assistance at Gatwick was a nightmare and OH is going to do a few letters of complaint as one lady collapsed on floor due to lack of transportation help! Luckily there were 2 retired policemen around to help as the staff were worse than useless!
Managed to unpack the cases after a couple of hours sleep, we set the alarm so that we sleep properly tonight. My teeth are playing up which often happens after extreme stress so have brushed, flossed, corsidil mouthwashed and fingers crossed with some sleep and pain killers all will be well again. Do not want yet another abcess!
It is lovely to be home again even though the trip was great. The garden is incredible! Spuds doing really well and the herbs are in danger of becoming trees so must sort them out tomorrow. England seems really green and lush after the drought conditions of florida.
Well Holly our cat has curled up next to me on the bed so I guess we have been forgiven for going away, looks like she has been thoroughly spoilt by our friend. Hopefully will be stacking up some zzzzz's very soon.
Vicky - Many congrats on the new job!
Back to extreme money saving tomorrow!
(((hugs)))
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Evening all!
Had a migraine when I got home from work so went straight to bed and am now wide awake. I might do some late night housework as it's been a mad week and the house is sufferieng. As a civil servant I get Tuesday off too (Queen's Birthday) so its a long long weekend - yay. Me and dd are off to arundel on sunday for our first lone camping trip - just need to buy new tent and cooking equipment tomorrow. We are staying at the yha so we can use their kitchen, showers, and toilets. Having camped in our back garden last weekend we feel like we are camping in someone else's for this trip. If this goes well then we will go to a proper site next time
Catowen - oooooh - even if it comes to nowt it's nice to be noticed. wish I could meet soemone but with resident exoh in tow it's going to be hard.
dd has a dr who party on satruday and is going as Rose in pink t shirt and denim dungarees - just like all the other little girls. Result though - her present scanned wrongly at Mr T so she paid half price for it
have a brilliant weekend all
