    Back again

It wsn't raining as much as I thought, so not too wet.

Had a lovely birthday yesterday, rediscovered the fun of clothes shopping, and had a lovely meal with DH DS and his GF last night, we went to a Chinese Buffet, and I even left space for strawberries covered in chocolate :D

Boiled egg for breakfast, soup for lunch and gammon steak, oven chips and salad tonight.

Doing a 3-shop shop today, Lidl, Aldi and Asda - I'm becoming a real expert at sniffing out the bargains :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a good day x

    Good Morning All

Nice to see you back GB - Sorry to hear you've not been to well. Sounds like the party went off a treat! You take care and look after yourself! I went through the same with the occupational health, in my last 2 jobs, both times with depression. The last one I visited, totally written the report wrong, and if my manager didnt know anything about my self help/councilling/tablets/ etc, anyone reading it thought I was taking liberties by being off sick.

VickyA - well done ref the job :j

Dlb - You have done wonders to your garden. A HUGE difference to what the last lot of neighbours did or rather didn't. 3yrs on and your still digging up bones, glass, knives etc.... Think that says it all really.
OH has been asking his mum for ages if we can have her sun lounges. As they are thrown in the back room doing nothing, and to be honest in the 3yrs of being together, she's not used them once. So, with this huge make over she's had done, Im hoping she will let me take them off her hands! Then all we need is the sun, and followed by a mixture of cocktail drinks - shall we ask the witch to join us (so we can egg & flour her) lol - or show her how to use a bottle of star drops

Trying to catch up with the washing last night and today. Kids clothes are ready for their wk end away with their dad, will iron those later. Aswell as mine & OH's stuff for our trip to London. I will be having withdrawal symptoms by not coming on here. But I know we do need the break & change of scenery.

I got my tablets from the doc's. First time I have ever used the on-line prescription thingy! It saves messing about now in the future with phone calls.

Im off to read the thread now
    Have a great Friday All

One more thing.... my DS has decided NOT to take up the college place with his Dad 500 miles away after all! YEAH!!!!!!!!:T He's finally realised what we have been trying to tell him for months, that he'd be leaving all his family, mates, (and now girlfriend) behind. It hit him two days ago. All that grief he's caused me... honestly, kids, who'd 'av 'em?:rotfl:

    Goodmorning everyone,

I'm home alone this morning. Ahhh............bliss. :D DH has taken the car in to get a service. He should be gone a couple of hours. :D I have found it a bit hard at times, being *together* 24/7. I can say that now he's not here. ;) I do enjoy some *me* time. But I've gotten use to it. And I know I will miss his company when we return and we go back to w**k.

I want to sort out our next month here as we plan on going back late June so I'll start that.

Scuzz TBH I wouldn't even dream of going into a business venture with your bf. Your relationship is only in the infancy stage for that sort of pressure & committment. It could kill it iykwim. Listen to your mother :D

Kyle & Twink Enjoy your shopping trip.

Cat Your DS is doing well with his soccer . Our state (QLD) won the first state of origin (rugby) held on Wednesday night. It's best of three. We play NSW (Boooooooooo) :D. DD went to see the first match.

Better get moving. Hope you all have a nice day. Sun shining here. Byeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

mrs-mix - hope the meeting at the school goes well (better than you can expect anyway)

Kyle & Twink - enjoy your day shopping. I can understand ref the shopping centre's kyle, Im not the sort to shop anyway, and places like that scare me! Im ok to shop inopen air complex's. (iyswim). Have you tried Corsodyl mouth wash! My DS used that for ages after he had his op in Sept. That does help.

scuzz - could you refuse the role, and get them to compromise ref pay rise and then you'll consider the job! Ive never heard my brother so happy since he got his visa for Florida this week. A lot of the family's nose's have been pushed out cos' they heard on the grapevine he's going, personally I think its just jealousy that he's making a new life for himself. Its only a matter of time before he goes now! Good luck with everything.

lil-me - hope you get the dog situation sorted out soon. That must be awfull. Im sure you'll make the right decision in the end.

Amie - is it the wombles having dinner at your's tonight? or your mum and gran?

Hardup Hester - dont let the EX mrs's stress you out too much regards clothing for the wedding. If push comes to shove, start svaing your £2 coins now, and hopefully by the time the wedding arrives, you'll have enough money to buy a fantastic dress! Im sure you'll look great what ever you wear, just wear it with confidence!

Can we over-dose on too much lavender! Despite my sleeping patterns are improving, Im getting very sleepy during the day!

Tinkerbell - I would personally keep the originals. As if something happens in the future that you need them, some places dont accept copies!

Right - best be off and get ready for work

    Morning campers

It's the last official day of my week off work :( but on the bright side I still have the weekend and the bank holiday :D which is the WHOLE point of taking the week off just before a bank holiday :D

I am actually pretty busy today, but unlike when at work, I can do most of it in my own time. The non-negotiable bit is I am singing at a funeral this afternoon, for our former parish priest - that's choir practice at 1:30 and service at 2:30. I also have a mystery shop to do (bank) and need to write up my opera review from last night.

First things first though - I've already phoned up to pay the water bill (the first proper one I have had since moving here - my meter wasn't working so they had to replace it and estimate my usage in the meantime) and now I think it's time for a cup of tea.

Hope all are OK - glad you got a good night's sleep PP - and scuzz, I agree that it sounds like your employers are taking the pi55 and you'll be well rid of them when the time comes!

See you later, love Rzl xx

P.S - Does anyone know if it would be OK for me to scan in all of my statments, paperwork etc and bin the originals? Or am I missing something and I should be keeping the originals for something?

    Tinkerbell,

I am currently re-mortgaging my house, and I have had to send in original bank statements and utlity bills as they would not accept photocopies/scanned copies, and my online bank does not send statements out unless you have ticked a specific box, I have had a heck of job trying to get them in time to send to the mortgage company, so my advice to you is keep the originals at this moment, surely the majority of financial institutions will accept scanned copies by e-mail soon, I know its the money laundering regulations that require hard original copies at this moment.

I hope everyone has a lovely Friday, piddling down here and I so much wanted to get into the garden with my homemade "Chelsea" CD, a wee bit of Mika, Take That, Snow Patrol, you can't beat a wee bit of music whilst doing the endless weeding. Take care everyone.

    Morning all :hello:

Hope the shopping trip goes well Kyle
Look on the bright side scuzz.... at least they think you are capable. ;)
Good luck with the exams Slowly-fading
    Congratulations Vicky A
Hope you're feeling better soon Hillstep

Have taken the day off today as I think 4 days in the confined space of OH's office was enough for me. ;)

Lots to catch up on anyway as I've been working all week. So plan is to tackle the kitchen and bathroom, then a general tidy up elsewhere. Also need to thin out some veg in the patch (between showers) and do a little baking.

Didn't mention that when i was making my whisky and cream sauce the other night I managed to flambee my eyebrows. :o

Stiil thinking about buying this new house and I'm really hopeful but need to sort out the mortgage first. So fingers crossed.

    Enjoy your day
