backpay taking too longUNACCEPTABLE! WHY? I NEED THE MONEY NOW ITS MY MONEY!If is is i will shout very loud indeed like someone else said its my money
Firstly, it isn't 'backpay', you didn't earn it.
Secondly it isn't 'your' money , it's ours .
Thirdly , with an attitude like yours , you don't deserve any of our money.0 -
To start off with it can usually take up to 2 weeks for the BDC to "become aware" you have won your appeal. This is because it can take up to 2 weeks to process any incoming post, letters medcerts etc and an appeal win is no different.
From the date the BDC "become aware" it can take up to 6 weeks to issue arrears. So generally within the first 2 weeks you will be limited to them checking if it has been received yet, if it hasn't they will tell you to wait. Once it is received you will be told to wait for a further 6 weeks.
If it is not received after 2 weeks appropriate action can be taken, however you can take pre-emptive action within those 2 weeks and have your appeal win notice emailed by a jobcentre - so you know they have it ASAP.
If there are no arrears issued after 6 weeks from "becoming aware" then you can have a callback from arrears/appeal section who may then be able to tell you what their local conditions are for example as above they know they have a 3 month backlog and will be able to tell you.
The reason it takes so long is because you are not the only fish in the sea. Everycase is dealt with on a first come - first served basis.
You have survived on your amount for over a year so I'm sure you can survive a little bit longer whilst you wait your turn.0 -
Firstly, it isn't 'backpay', you didn't earn it.
Whilst technically not 'backpay' it is a back payment that is owed.
Actually it is the OP's money, she is legal entitled to it as affirmed by the tribunal.Secondly it isn't 'your' money , it's ours .
The OP has been through the long and stressful process of challenging an incorrect decision of the DWP and wishes for it to be over.Thirdly , with an attitude like yours , you don't deserve any of our money.
Why it is necessary to denigrate her 'attitude' in wanting things to be finished and receive her income to meet essential living costs? This is supposed to be a helpful forum where people can seek advice and information not personal judgment.0 -

I agree.
I can't stand this "I'm a tax payer this is my money you're getting and you don't deserve it" attitude.0 -

Because if 'she' ? wants help she shouldn't come on here demanding payment...I NEED THE MONEY NOW ITS MY MONEY!
....and shouting ........If is is i will shout very loud indeed like someone else said its my money
..... and threatening to verbally abuse staff.....
......no one gets anywhere with an attitude like hers....if she talks to the people at the DWP like this no wonder she's not getting anywhere ..... she should consider herself lucky to live in a country where there is at least some support.I can't stand this "I'm a tax payer this is my money you're getting and you don't deserve it" attitude.

Get over it !
You get over it. You're the one wanting to deny people money that is legally theirs just because of the way they spoke (I personally wouldn't but we're all different), failing to take into account the ridiculously long wait she has dealt with for money that she needs. She's on ESA, not JSA, it's obviously difficult for her to do any work to get any other source of income... She's angry for a reason.
When you have severe mental health issues the smallest tasks can be a chore never mind a 15 month long ATOS appeal.
And what? She should feel lucky to live in a country with support? Yes many are lucky but look at this individual situation not everyone else's... What use is the support when it takes over a year to come...0 -
than-you everyone for you input everybody is entitled to an opinion.
I have recently been told that my esa office is dealing with mid april appeals so mine being 30th when they got the clarification of wining at dwp i should only be a couple of weeks away.
I do suffer with mental health issues so it has taken its tole on me and even my relationships with people, just want it to be over really
