Net migration down nearly 100,000 over the year

No no no. Give me something tangible. Not something that probably includes the olympic stadium.
I'm talking roads, electric, water. Everything needed to actually serve the increased population.
A 13% increase (£4bn) which hasn't even kept up with inflation over the period is neither here nor there for the record increases weve seen in immigration.
All I'm saying is, if what you say is true (that we only get infrastructure due to new immigrants), surely infrastructure should already be being expanded today....thanks to the new immigrants.
Wheres the evidence? Wheres the new train lines? Wheres the new towns? Wheres the new airports? Wheres the new water grids? What upgrades have happened to the national grid?
For all I see is warning after warning that prices will have to increase as we have reach capacity. I see reports of increased water shortgaes due to increased demand. I see reports of increased road congestion, I see increased rail congestion. I don't see anything getting better in terms of capacity.
Just because I don't see it, doesn't mean it isn't happening, so thats why I'm asking for evidence that increased infrastructure and therefore capacity is delivered alongside an increase in immigration. Afterall, if you are going to state that as fact, you'd surely have some evidence of it?0 -
All the more reason to end the current pyramid scheme.
And replace it with an upside down pyramid instead.
You really have no grasp of basic economics at all, do you Percy lad?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Bit silly to insult someones intelligence when the only economics alternate to a pyramid scheme you can put forward is "an upside down one".0 -

Little England nimbys stopped it getting planning permission.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -

Exactly....so why would bringing in more immigrants increase infrastructure?
It wouldn't. It hasn't. Well.....not that I can see, and I simply may not see it. If it's shown to me, than that's another matter.0 -

How about a one-in-one-out system? For every immigrant who comes here to take on a job that's too hard and/or messy for the "indigenous British", we send one home-grown swivel-eyed loon off to somewhere were they can do less harm?
Or buy them a one-way ticker to Edinburgh?I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

I like the idea.
Though Aberdeen is a good bet.

You may want to consider throwing some sturdy headwear in there.

Yer...so, the infrastructure question done then? We just come to the conclusion that indeed, as the question is a little difficult, it's easier to point "swivel eyed loon"! Better than vile racists I guess.....so one should be grateful of small mercies.
All these annoyingly awkward questionnings of the immigration is great theories must be tiring!0 -

On behalf of all Aberdonians, can I just say.....
