Just because the nasty French Government banned their flea collars containing what Bob Martins deemed harmless organophosphate nerve agents after fears that it could possibly be absorbed through the skin of children and cause not very nice effects.
I'm sure the Bob Martins rep can reassure you that your pets are made of wood therefore there is no chance of them absorbing any nasty chemicals and suffering a lingering and painful death.
Sorry, have to ask - are you for real?
Why don't you google "bob martin killed my dog/cat/pet" and see how many pets were killed by their product?
This thread is nothing to do with "French government" - jesssssssssss0 -

I recognise you---crazy cat lady.
Come round my house anytime you like but let me know first so I can make sure I'm not in.
The puppy is now all grown up and have shown her your photo so she knows whose legs to bite.
Glad the kitty came through O.K.
Take care.0 -

Used to use BM products way back when I was a first time dog owner. They were completely useless and I never used them again.
Then of course I heard about how so many pets have adverse reactions to their crappy products.
Crap, dangerous products, with a 'couldnt-care-less' company/ethos behind them.0 -
Phone number posted by 'rep' also listed on http://fiprokil.com/about-fiprokil btw0

I don't use Bob Martin's, but I know someone who did. Their Yorkie had a very bad reaction, had to be taken up the vets etc.
When I was a nipper we used to give the dog Bob Martin's tablets. Seemed a positive brand then.
Not a brand with a positive reputation any more.0 -
Can wholeheartedly agree regarding Bob Martin products - I am still amazed they haven't been banned. One product (was it the flea collars?) was banned, as my mother saw them in her local Tesco and complained.
For those looking for a non-toxic alternative, try diatomaceous earth. It's natural, no toxins, etc, and is very effective when dealing with fleas! Simply rub it through your animals coat. It can also be ingested with no harmful side-effects. Cheap, safe and efficient0
