I'm going to spread the message too... (see new signature)

I had a similar one once but the admin team removed it.

I had no idea ! Never used the stuff myself, the very few times I've used flea treatment it's been Frontline spray.
That's a bit of a shocker that they're still selling it.:(

Just in case anybody doesn't know and like me you're not often at the vets and pet shops are quite far away, I noticed the other day in Boots that at the pharmacy they sell every sort of Frontline available to man and the prices are about right, so I think that might help a lot of people who just get Bob Martin because they can get it when they get their supermarket shopping, as Boots (for a lot of people anyway) is sometimes easier to get to than pet shops or vets.

i used to use frontline but use stronghold at the moment.
it pricey but it helps with some of the worms too.
i think you can get frontline in most stores with a pharmicy, seen it in the odd sainsburys?

I don't think I'm going to put chemicals on my healthy cat, can't see the point. I heard that fleas are now resistant to frontline anyway.
In my opinion healthy cats are medicated too much, yearly vaccinations etc, not sure it's all necessary.
But it's just my opinion, as good as anyone else's.

My little moggy has some fleas at the moment and I've been getting bitten over thelast couple of evenings. I popped into pets@home the other evening to pick up some food for her and was having a quick squiz at the flea stuff. I said to the girl that I wasn't interested in frontline as it doesn't work on our mogy any more and she muttered under her breath "That's not true!". I almost didn't hear her as I wasn't facing her so had to double check. When she repeated herself I explained that we had used it for 6 months with good results and that after that we had an infestation which frontline could not get on top of. She just carried on saying that it does work. Nuts!
We have used our last programme tube on her (and the fleas are going potty) and I have bought another treatment (I think it was advantage?).
In the meantime, I googled natural remedies. I have always used the OS air freshener of lavender oil and white vinegar mixed with water and then sprayed around but had run out of white vinegar so hadn't been spraying for a while. Consequently the flea population took over. Apparently, lavender is known for being repellant to fleas.
Am also spraying the house again with flea spray. Also sprayed diluted lavender oil onto a piece of kitchen roll and wiped moggy with it.

Asda also sell frontline. It might only be ones with a pharmacy but I haven't checked one without.
