Acclaim is extremely effective for eliminating household fleas. it cost about £13 for a can from PAH.
I think its best to simply change brands of fleakiller on pets every so often. using the same one is bound to make the flea population resistant......so if everyone was using a few different brands in rotation and NOT just the only one currently recommended - they wouldn't get resistant!

Bob Martin products in general are just awful. Not just flea products.

I wish they were banned too.

If you really are a representative from Bob Martin - then do us pet owners a favour and remove your dangerous and useless products from supermarket shelves! People HAVE complained to you, their vets have contacted you, but you always say 'it must have been an allergic reaction - not our fault'!
So, if the only way to stop people losing their beloved pets or facing huge vet bills and the suffering caused to animals is to get the word out and get your products boycotted - then that is what will happen!

There is a good reason vets don't stock Bob Martins! and it isn't because they are cheap!

    @BobMartin - perhaps just google?

See how many pets DIED from your products?

Yes, do us all a favour and just discontinue those killer poisons.

Bob_Martin, the only product I will ever use of yours again is your pooh bags, because I can pick up a pack for 30p in Home Bargains. Even then, the brand they used to stock were better as they were bigger.

Shame on you for killing beloved pets. Allergic reaction my backside - it's happening far too often, and if I see people go to pick up one of your flea or worm treatments in my local supermarkets I always warn them what could happen if they use it.
Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j

If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!

    1. ask MSE towers to be a REP.

2.NO ONE CALL THE 0844 number unless they want a high phone bill use the email or inondate with snail mail.

tests are not done on every batch that come off the lines, its easy to have a batch ready for testing then run what you like after you get the ok.

your products are poor products and dangerous.
  • I'm sorry but I think you are being rather unfair to the Bob Martins rep.

Just because the nasty French Government banned their flea collars containing what Bob Martins deemed harmless organophosphate nerve agents after fears that it could possibly be absorbed through the skin of children and cause not very nice effects.

I'm sure the Bob Martins rep can reassure you that your pets are made of wood therefore there is no chance of them absorbing any nasty chemicals and suffering a lingering and painful death.

Never used spot treatments after my first Cavalier died 2 days after using it from a series of fits.
Not saying it was a flea treatment, but she had never had a fit before, used the spot stuff and she started in the night.
The vet scrubbed her neck until it nearly bled, but it was too late, she died next day.
Flea collars now and a good comb.
    Be happy...;)
