Well after *15+ months of free BB they've finally started charging me, albeit not much. One annoyance though is that they don't seem to notify you by email when a new bill is ready. Can Sky be persuaded to do this, I can't see any obvious setting to enable it. Or will they do it if you contact them?

    Thanks for the heads up.

I negotiated the £5/mth (no landline) deal around 10th of March 2015. I was still £4 in credit after last years £75 credit + £5/mth deal, so I'm going to be on the lookout for a bill of some sort.

*I managed around 2 years free BB. :p
    Move along, nothing to see.

Wow teddysmum. Does that mean that you are on,y paying around £7.50 a month or both line rental and broadband? ( free line rental and £7.50 broadband). Do you take ny of their tv packages?

Originally I negotiated free landline, £5 calls and £10 broadband (ie £5 'discount' for having line rental), making it £15 a month, but I asked about a tv offer, having cancelled and been offered none and was offered half price tv, which brought my broadband down to £7.50. Variety tv, £14, so £26.50 inc..

My £5pm broadband only (landline with BT) contract with Sky will shortly be ending, so I need to give them a call and negotiate a new deal.

Has anybody done so recently? If so, what sort of deals are they currently offering?

    Thanks

Most deals, mentioned on here, are for people taking Sky's landline with broadband.

Only deal on offer in December was to switch line rental to them which would then be free for 12 months, but BB would go up (from £5) to £7.50.

Otherwise only "offer" (if not prepared to move line rental) was £7.50/month for BB.

Yes, I was hoping for another year at £5pm, but suspect it will be a bit harder to achieve this time round!

I've just given Sky a call and £7.50pm was the best they could offer. I mentioned BT's current offer of £5 a month, 5th one down here:

but he said they couldn't match it.

Do you have your landline with Sky or standalone broadband ?

If it's standalone, it's a good deal (BT's is packaged with line rental), but if you have line also, try another call.

Landline is already with BT, and I was about to renew my LRS with them. My about to expire contract with Sky (broadband only) was £5pm.
