  • I would double check what you are being charged. I too have just received a similar bill from SKY with these charges for not using certain services and there is a big thread on thw Which website about it. Its the first I've heard of it and I'm less than impressed.

Further to this they've address the bill to someone deceased for four years rather than myself, the person who first set up the account - I guess something got missed when they bought the account from o2.

Given these two events plus the fact I'm now getting slower speeds and issues with emails being rejected, SKYs IP address' being blocked as spam from some other SKY customers accounts apparently, I think its safe to say I'm looking for a new provider.

My b/b seems to be marginally faster since I migrated (end of February 2014). Have to reboot the modem/router fairly often, which I never had to do as an O2 customer.

Utter s h i t e connection, either drops out or takes ages to load a page. I was with O2 for years and never had a single issue. About. To make my third call to sky in two months.

Having to use my phones 3G to post, it's faster.

    Hung up my suit!
I've also been migrated to Sky BB from O2 BB and was like others pretty peeved to be charged for services that I don't use. I cancelled my DD this month as I've no idea how much they will be charging me and am still waiting for them to contact me. Does anybody have a freephone number I can use to call them ?

Normal practice - works out the same as O2 giving you a mobile discount on a higher BB price. Sky are giving you a lower BB price and charging for services not used. End price is exactly the same - look at your bill. You will find you are not paying any more than you did to O2.

Very silly thing to do as all it will do is harm your credit rating.

Try Say no to 0870 website for alternative numbers.

The special deals have all come from a "dedicated" sky o2 department in Newcastle reached via the old o2 0800 number, not via online chat.

What's that number in full? Hopefully it still works - I'm gonna give them a ring and try to get a discount. Not happy about being switched over to Sky from Be - just got my first full bill :( - but I gather I may have missed the boat on special offers from Sky :(

Just want bb, none of that TV malarky.

You had many months of notice of the migration to opt into the deals Sky was offering, and which many on here have taken up. Why wait until the switch took place and then complain?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Got a "free line rental for a year" offer letter (as I was moved over from BE Broadband to SKY) and just have broadband with them, paying line rental to BT

So, as I will be taking line rental with my broadband, that will drop from £15pm down to £10pm, but I want to add the £5pm unlimited talk package, so when I switch, I will be paying £15pm for line rental, broadband and unlimited calls!

Stick THAT BT! Ha ha! :j :p

P.S. If I want to leave SKY after 12 months, can I still keep my existing phone number which I have had from the start of being with BT for nearly 20 years?!

    :D
