What he said to the landlord is he has evidence that a crime had been committed but could not discuss what due to data protection.

That is still libel and it still breaches the DPA.

Complain about him and if he turns up at your door again then I think you should be the one to call the Police.
Im sure he would love to be removed from your property !, just dont let him get the better of you.

That's because he has no evidence.

Do as RAS says and go to the top with it.

You are not in trouble, you owe money that's all and the way he's reacting anyone would think it was his personal money. it is only money, they cannot have what you don't have. You rent your home so there's nothing they can threaten from that angle so all he has is the threat of the Police.

Don't beat yourself up about it, they didn't have to accept your orders did they?

He sounds like a proper tool to me. If he comes round again if you can record sounds on your phone then record him.

What % of your income should be going towards paying the catalogue?

If it is a high percentage then they should have said no more orders until you've paid more of your balance off.

Why didn't they do that I wonder.

  • If we no longer have use of a car then yes.
  • What he said to the landlord is he has evidence that a crime had been committed but could not discuss what due to data protection.

What he has said to the landlord, is enough to amount to a breach of the DPA.

Do you need the car for caring duties? If so offer what you can comfortably afford and know you can stick to.
