Today I started off really good, I had a filling omelette for breakfast .. Then found myself in the local town centre eating a dregs ( sounds like) I don't even like dregs but found myself eating them ... Grrrr so so so frustrated with myself
Tomorrow is a new day and tomorrow I WILL NOT EAT ANY CRAP0 -
Well yesterday I played a wee game of tennis with my son, when I say played a ge of tennis I mean hit the ball with a racquet and ran about a bit , but it was great fun and something I will try my best to keep up :-)0

Good work everyone, and Jojo what a great post!
I think sometimes we exercise when we don't think about it - me and the dog chased each other round the garden for a while last night and were both knackered by the end of it

Hello Everyone
Jojo - some fantastic tips there.
Well as you can see it is silly o'clock and once again I can't sleep.
I have not posted for a while and all my best intentions have completely gone to pot.
I've just had the last "3 weeks from hell" My mother's health (shes 88) took a nose dive and I've been running around like a headless chicken trying to sort out a nursing home placement for her, supporting my 87 year old dad who is not doing too well, dealing with all the Social Services and financial stuff all at the same time as trying to visit my husband in his nursing home. Oh and throw in trying to buy a house.
Anyway today I had a bit of an epiphany - I feel like death and I have to reclaim my life and health before I end up in care myself.
So folks I'm back here to try and start again.
Right I'm going to go back to bed and try again to go back to sleep and then in the morning my campaign will start again in earnest.
Like Jojo so wisely said I really need to get my head in the right place. It's time to think about my needs for a change.0 -

i tend to find when i am struggling or if i fall off its because my life is getting in the way of living, its not me, its the whole dealing with other things that just knock me right off from where i want/should be
lesson that's why i think a two year challenge is gonna be best, it is going to take a time to learn where we do fall down, what knocks us off and how we can alter things for the better each time,
i'm loaded with the cold just now so have been dosing myself up with all sorts of sugary tablets etc, on the one hand i am frustrated to pieces, but on the other i know i need to get on top of it all so i will push on
welcome back LL baby steps will get us there ...
excercise is out the window just now as i am constantly sneezing and spluttering, so for just now i am going to concentrate on keeping taking my vitamin tablets etc that will just need to do for now

Still feeling loaded with sore bones, splitting headache etc, not managing to get much exercise done as I am so exhausted, still just concentrating on taking the vitamins etc till I feel better, but feeling quite frustrated as the weather is actually nice and I can't do anything in the garden a I have no energy

Not to worry next week will be different I am sure
How's everyone else doing ?0 -
Jo Jo thanks for the advice, very sound and practical ... The way I need it

Julie, I am addicted to sugar myself and so struggle when I'm in a sugar cycle ( like just now )

Aww, thanks!
Well, I've had a rotten cold for the first time in years, so I was taking things fairly easy, just doing aqua Zumba. Then I went out last night, which turned into one of those epic ones where you get home in daylight. Anyhow, I seem to have become superhuman as there was no hangover and I went to the gym for a couple of hours. 35 mins on the recumbent bike to warm up, then the rest doing weights. I can feel it in my knees and shoulders now, and have taken myself up to bed early. Food wise, it was dim sum night. Lots of sodium, so lots of water and avoiding the scales for a couple of days, as exercise plus sodium = water retention
Feeling pretty good today, all things considered.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

I used to go to the gym and loved it, but our local ( council run) one costs so much money and I was finding I was paying it every month and not using it like I should
Maybe I need to rejoin and use it to it full potential as I did like it when I went ... Just found I was too busy to go
Please feel free to keep giving the advice jo I know I need it

Just doubled checked ... I would be £40 a month for gym membership ( that also includes swimming and racquet sports) it isn't really a lot of money, but I don't have it spare
