    Hi Tatty

If there was any huffing and puffing, even if it was just at the stuff that was in there then in my book it definately counts, mind you that might explain why I need to lose 2 stone.

Another lovely day, keep it up

    Hello

Fab idea. May I join you please.

I already contribute to the Frump to Fab thread and am doing ok on "Fabbing up my Life", but I too really need to sort out some health issues, so if it's ok with you good folk I will join in with your challenge. I really need to get my a** in gear and sort myself out.

I need to lose 3 stones, I have dodgy knees, a bad back and a tempremental degestive system. My mum and grandmother have or had diabetes and I'm obviously at some genetic risk there.

So I want to lose weight and get fit as a pre-emptive strike against the diabetes. I'm hoping that shifting the excess weight will help my knees.

So today my plan is to start today - with some physio stretches for my back and 1km on my exercise bike. Not much I know but it's a start.

Elantan Thanks for starting the thread.

 to our new fit selves - sorry that should be wine.....

    hey all,

welcome lesson, hope you reach those goals soon, elmer you must live further north than i do lol , glad that's your daughter discharged it must be a worry for them,

tatty as long as you were emptying the rubbish from the pantry then yes i think we can count it ;)

well my day yesterday was another fail, son phoned me up needing to talk and we tend to talk best over food so landed up going out for a bite to eat, then i landed up in an arguement with hubby so no exercise done, but today i fully intend on doing some gardening and eating healthy,

i know its a 100 week challenge but i really do need to get my skates on, i have two holidays coming up also so i need to ensure i get things organised shortly, before i find myself weighing in at 15 stone or something

good luck today and let me know how you go :)

one way to start doing exercise without needing to find time for it would be to cycle to work instead of drive, assuming you drive to work and its not too far to cycle.

I tend to eat alot of crap so i put on abit of weight for awhile. When i recently moved house im now living further away from work so i end up cycling 15 miles a day to/from work, my weight started to drop pretty quickly, and not really cut down that much on eating

Sadly my work is 20 miles in each direction and I work nights so cycling not an option ... I did think about it though and that may work for someone else :)

I work mainly nights too so cycling not really an option for me- and I had a bad experience years ago so I'm a bit fearful of cycling on main roads anyway. :(

Sadly no excuses on the cycling front whatsoever other than sheer laziness, I even used to cycle to work every day in my younger fitter days,

However the goal for now is still to get the bike out of the garage, and attempt the whizz round the block, if that works with some decorum, I will start another goal, more distance and even some sit ups maybe....

    Im feeling worn out already!!

    Hello Peeps:wave:

Didn't manage the exercise bike yesterday but did do some physio stretches for my back.

Today I huffed and puffed my way - walked for about 30 minutes all told. Viewing houses with my son so lots of stairs and clambering down into cellars too.

Lordy but I am so unfit:o

I'm managed a bit of gardening too.

    It's a start.

Hope you are all enjoying this fab weather.

I was enjoying the fab weather, sooo it was too hot to cycle!!!!;)

And then we had a BBQ, double whammy for the 100 wk challenge.

Good for the soul though and so nice to be able to sit and enjoy the sunshine.

    There's always today.....
