This is really weird and I'm sorry in advance, but I need some advice.
My brother who lives with his other brother, my mother and her partner went out last night, he is 19.
Nobody knows what time he returned home, however they do know that he is responsible for using the house as a toilet, not only the bathroom floor, the stairs and the landing, he also used towels from the bathroom and peoples personal things, for example his mothers handbag and purse!!!!
Now this wasn't a wee! and I find it not only nasty, but really weird.
He has drunk before, but has never done this. Whilst I can drink and get drunk, I would never do this because it's plain wrong and whilst people miss the loo, this is clearly not the same!!!
We have an idea he hangs around with bad people and there may be an issues with drugs in the group.
He says he didn't do this, but his bed said otherwise and he needed a shower at 06.30 this morning.
I know this sounds really nasty and weird, but my mother called me crying because she feels so bad about the whole situation.
Any ideas people, can drink really do this? or are we talkig drugs?

Quite extreme, but drink can do this. An old neighbour of mine used to have the exact same problem (communal hallways - nice!). However, he was an actual alcoholic, not just a bit of a binge drinker.
Not aware of the side effects of any particular drug that give rise to this 'problem' - but I don't think anybody here can definitively say whether it's drink/drugs. Other than, yes, intoxication (including alcohol) can cause this...0 -
Are you saying he got so paralytic he was incontinent, or was he deliberately defecating on the stairs and in your mum's handbag and purse? Sorry to be crass, just wondering what's happened.
Anyway, it doesn't sound like typical drunken shenanigans to me, but I could be wrong.0 -
I've seen this before (not myself!), and drink can definitely be a culprit. I can't think of any drugs that would cause someone to do this, toileting activities tend to be linked to alcohol.0

His "nice" friends could have spiked his drinks with laxative for a laugh. You never know0

Okay well that's sort of good to know, and yes it was the worse case unfortunately!!!
Never known this other than in public loos.0 -

As an ex drug/alcohol counsellor, I have to agree that this doesn't sound drugs related but I have known many people have problems with a lack of bladder and/or bowel control after drinking very heavily. The fact that he got into this state (even just through alcohol) is a bit of a worry but hopefully it is just a one-off and he will be so mortified he will think twice about doing it again.0

But that wouldn't cause you to mess everywhere. If you are caught short you'd do it in your trousers, or wherever you take them off, not in handbags/ on stairs etc?
Yes, I agree with this. Was it just that his mum's items were on the floor or was it done intentionally in/on them?0
