Drink is Drugs and a particularly nasty addictive one as well, as somebody who has a vast wealth of personla experience with taking many different drugs over the years i would say confidently this is 100% alcohol induced

Am I the only one that feels a bit sorry for him?

He's a 19 year old lad who must be mortified about it, and even more mortified that the family want to talk about it, he's probably staying in his room to avoid the whole thing.

It's likely that he was just very drunk and is now embarrassed and confused himself as to why and how he did it!

(I would not like it to be my handbag though!)
If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in :D

If someone had cr*pped in my purse and handbag I'd be wanting to talk about it.. to put it mildly!! Disgusting little git.

He'll have to emerge from his room at some point and face the music, he can't hide in there forever.

Feeling sorry? Given the further info by OP having to talk about it is the lightest of punishments!
If it was me he would have his stuff in a bin liners outside!!!

Probably yes. If he hadn't been drunk and he had done this, then no-one would feel sorry for him. Why is it any different if he was drunk? He is not 10, he is an adult and should know better than to get so drunk that he doesn't know what he is doing especially as he as been beaten up in the past probably when he was drunk.

Oh don't get me wrong, if it happened in my house I would be traumatised!

I'm just wondering if he's traumatised himself, it's not your usual silly thing to do when drunk then laugh about the next day is it.

I wasn't suggesting OP was wrong to try to speak to him, more thinking if I'd have done it I wouldn't come out my room either! And I certainly wouldn't want to face my mum!

(For the record, I have never ever...)

It's not unusual for people to pee in strange places when drunk but this is slightly more embarrassing.

How much alcohol had he realistically consumed if he was out with family? Was he absolutely hammered?

Now we know he was beaten up, could it be something to do with that?

People can do very strange things when drunk or sleepwalking. My brother, as a young child, would pee in draws. My sister when sleepwalking once sat and peed on my bed, and attempted to lift the sofa cushion and pee there. I was at a Derren Brown show when he correctly guessed that a guy had come home from the pub one Xmas Eve and peed over the presents under the tree!
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!

O gosh it's really bad, but some of the things people have seen/done really make me laugh!

There is a problem that he is not working and has now finished education and my mother is telling him what to do to resolve this, as some mothers do!

He has never been a big drinker really until recently, last year he was beaten so bad that he broke lots of bones in his face and again we don't really know what happened there and the Police said in short that it was his own fault.

It appears now he is drinking too much, which is not often and only when he goes out, maybe once every 2 weeks? But again nothing like this before and certainly no mess before!

All of the handbag items had to go, the normal lipbarm and all that sort of thing and some money that was also in the bag.

He hasn't appeared from his bedroom and was rude to me when I tried to talk to him about it.

He said he hadn't done anything, however his bed proved the case.

I think I would die of shame! Thanks again all

He was beaten so badly he broke most of the bones in his face? Regardless of whether the police thought it was his own fault of not, the fact that youve identified that he wasnt a big drinker before then and started drinking afterwards, taking everything else aside, theres something clearly wrong.

Perhaps you could try and find out what happened in that incident and ask if hes had any help to try and get over it, plus why hes drinking so much now when he didnt previously.
