Not the right person to ask. I know what the family's skin will tolerate and stick to that. I'm sure that a lot of detergent related skin probs are because too much powder is used and doesn't rinse out, but for us it isn't worth messing around. Have got it now so that I use very little."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

I use it on occasion but find Netto washing powder - 1.88 for big box - is actually better at removing stains. We get a lot as there's 3 kids here!0

Hmm this is something i generally wouldn't skimp on, but i've been tempted to try it seeing as i'm so skint.
I used to buy the liquitabs, persil or ariel in non-bio as my son has eczema, and i tried Morrisons own liquitabs once and it just didn't seem to get things as clean.
I might give it a go with the stain remover though, as at the minute i'm using the bottle of liquid which is about £4 a time, not a bad price though really.0 -
Hi,could you not introduce it slowly, say on towels, bedding, see how it cleans or if anyone reacts then try clothes but maybe not underwear? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Do you mix the soda crystals into the box of powder or do you use a measured amount of each with every wash?0 -

I just add one part soda crystals to one part washing powder in the drawer. The washing definitely comes out cleaner than with just washing powder.

im trying to save money to clear debts at the mo so im trying to cut back wherever i can. :j
i usually use the brand name washing powders when they are on offer i normally but the 25 or 30 wash box of powder however im keen to try asd@ powder, tesc0 powder etc which i know are obviously cheaper. is there anyone that uses these and what are your opinions? i always use fabric conditioner (concentrated) ill try anything that can save me money
its me, ds1 and ds2 so i do on average 4 - 5 washes a week. none of us have skin problems so i am willing to give anything a go.
thanks.

I normally buy Persil Non Bio tablets but have started buying Almat Non Bio tablets from Aldi. I think they got a Good Housekeeping award so I thought I would give them a try.
I think its's just under £3 for a box of 36 tablets ie 18 washes but I only use one tablet if I am just refreshing clothes.
My husband used to come out in a rash if I used anything other than Persil but he has been fine with these.0
