I have requested my details for the last six years on my bank account and now want to try with my credit card, not sure what you can claim from this though so any info would be helpful.
Can you claim back late payment charges?:

Yes and Overlimit charges. Barclaycard have one called an Out Of Order charge at a whopping £40 that is reclaimable too. Good luck0 -
Thanks Twinkly, much appreciated because I think the late payment charges are where I have been charged the most so hopefully will get something back, can you also tell me, did you use the same letter format for your claim on credit card as you did with your bank account?

Yes, late payment charges are claimable (even the £12 ones since the OFT ruling in April 2006), as they are still "extravagantly" higher than the cost of automatically administering a late payment. The same templates can be used with a little bit of customisation.
However, due to the OFT ruling, expect a standard reply to the effect that "the OFT said the charges are OK, we warned you about them in the T&Cs, and we think they're wonderful".
I am currently at the MCOL stage of a claim with MINT.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
I am new to this reclaiming and have just send off to RBS to claim for bank charges charged to me over the last 6 years, like many others i was in credit and they have since in may charged me £90 for last month putting me in the red.... what sense does that make.
I really would like someone to let me know if i can claim by late payment fees with credit card companies and loans???? and if so, is it the same letter i use etc and can i claim back interest??
Thank you for your replies..0 -
