Can I use the same procedure as listed for reclaiming bank charges from credit card companies? I have sucessfully reclaimed bank charges.
The answer is yes all you have to do is change some of the wording on Martins first letter to include late payment charges etc.
The procedure is exactly the same have a quick look at the success stories thread and you'll see people who have successfully reclaimed from the likes of capital one, barclaycard and mint0 -
In a word, yes. And even the £12 charges since the OFT ruling last year are higher than the cost of administering a late payment and are therefore still illegal. However, the credit card company will probably use the OFT ruling to try to justify these charges. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

I am about to claim back my bank charges for the last 6 years and whilst doing the letters my wife enquired as to whether it would be possible to claim back the credit card charges too.
These charges would probably run into thousands of pounds, spread across 6 cards during the worst financial dark period you could imagine.
The 'problem' is that we closed these accounts about 15 months ago while we were sorting our financial nightmare.
So my question is this. Can we claim the charges back even if the account has been closed?0 -
yep you can claim for all of them, good luck !!!!0
