  • Citi Cards informed me that I would have to pay a charge of £3 per copy of each monthly statement. That would be a total of £216. Can they charge as much as this?
  • They certainly can charge for copy statements if that is what you ask them for. Please use the template in Martin's article for a SAR request.

  • They have 40 days to comply with your request, on my calculations they have until the middle of next week to supply you with the info.

If they don't you can then report them to the Information Commissioners Office www.ico.gov.uk
  • £490.10 Better off from Nationwide and £75 better off from HSBC credit cards thanks to this site, Bank Charges stayed but will try to fight it off I think.:T

Write to the court, referencing the case and let them know the claim has been settled to your satisfaction.
  • Hi all
First post so here goes. Sent 1st template letter requesting information on 24th September 2007. Recieved letter today saying as a gesture of goodwill and not accepting liability or error they are prepared to pay £56.16 as the difference between origional £20 and current £12 and includes any associated intrest charges.

    Should i accept?

Also says to complete the form to accept and return in the enclosed envelope.Guess what .......NO Envelope!! cheap skates.

The total charges for 6 years are £36 over limit fees & £148 late fees.

    Cheers
    Colin
  • You can send your claim to the Financial Ombudsman and state the full amount of charges plus interest on the form. I got almost the full amount back this way through the FOS and it took 6 weeks to get the decision and another 2 weeks to get the cheque.
  • Hi all

I'm putting together a claim at the moment for my charges from 4 different credit cards/companies. I see from these fine articles that it is reasonable to charge 8% interest on each charge. What I've been thinking however is that some of my credit card companies have been charging me 25% on the balance. Now, each charge that I have incurred has been added to my balance, and I have been incurring interest at 25% on these charges. Do you think that it's feasible to factor in a percentage charge of 25% not 8% when I reclaim my charges?

I'd be interested to hear from people!
