Hi Dollie, well done on coming back. I've only recently started my diary, post inane drivel but know that if I don't, I will once again lose focus. I know the sensible approach is to pay the highest apr but you need to go with what works for you. Pay the small ones and CLOSE them. I heard what you said about Next and dd size, has she not changed size since then? You're doing well, stick with it.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Hi
In need of direction thanks for your post , DD has become a bit more grown up in the last few months and apparently next is sooo uncool , and much prefers NewLook now (11 going on 21:rotfl:) . Don't really want to close account as a few of their kids or should I say teen summer stuff is good value and in the past I have used the account when funds tight and had a function to attend. I just need to manage it better .
Just exchanged in my £2 scratch card win(which I've had in my purse for well over month ) for 2 more cards ,my rule is anything over a fiver I get the cash otherwise I get more tickets ,anyway I won £12.00 :T . Instead of frittering it away I am paying DD back the £10 I borrowed from her . I feel so guilty for using her money and made a promise to myself never to borrow her money again .
Also cleared my purse out of all cards , only leaving current account card (spends account ) in there this will stop me spending the odd few pounds of bill money /rent money on lunch etc , a positive step forward
Also set up all my banking apps on phone so can now check funds BEFORE spending instead of at home after spending .
Also spoke to the ex who finally has some work tomorrow :T I couldn't get all the details but think it's only a days work fingers crossed it leads to more work and the matienence money starts coming my way again which would be amazing .in my head i am already deciding what to do with it lol. jumping ahead of myselfNEXT. - was £120. / now £ 120

Sorry to hear things went a bit  on you, but hopefully you'll really knuckle down again and get those debts cleared. We all go 'oops' every now and again. Point is, get back on track and focus asap. Bingo! This is basically what I had to do to stop myself spending. Although I left ALL cards at home. I only carried cash, even when I was doing a proper food shop. My debt was gone in no time!
Good luck and stick with it!Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -

Evening ,
It's amazing what you can achieve when you are focused and determined
I cheekily rang the bank told them that bank charges were crippling me and I take full responsibility for them it's my own doing etc but is there any way to spread them across a few months so that I can get myself bcd on the straight and narrow ,upshot is all this months charges refunded and all charges due in feb have been cancelled :T
I'm extremely lucky as this has happened before a few months ago and when the woman told me I could have cried :T
So bank account is for once within overdraft limit and I'm determined to keep it that way , I'm a bit worried that some bank charges have rolled over to march but only time will tell .
Also other good news I managed to get another direct debit sorted out for gas and elec and it's worked out at £50 cheaper :T
Been to see my best friend met at a shopping centre I don't see her often she works abroad all year with only an 8 week holiday back home I thought we were going for a slap up lunch and was very happy that she wanted a sandwich and a coffee :TAlso another :T for not buying anything except desperately needed underwear for DD at only £12.00 .
The ex has a job interview tomorrow :T:T I'm hoping and praying it goes well and it's positive luckily he knows the managers of the company used to work with them a few years back .
I still have £25 to last till Monday which is doable I'm working fri,sat and sun so only need money for a drink /coffee whilst at work and planning a NSD tomorrow ,I do however have to pay the fees for dd swimming lesson with the school , in the past I paid up front for the whole 6 weeks but realised never had money returned for the weeks she didn't attend due to illness so now I pay on a weekly basis
Today things feel great and payday is one less day away
Cheerio
