By the sounds of things if you can cope without the CSA money then like you say any you do get will be a bonus. At least you know you'll get some at somepoint (daft as it sounds :D)
Keep up the good work :)

I do hope you find the power to keep going through the CSA as it sounds like he wont pay if he doesnt have to! HE chose to have 3 kids, its not your fault! My ex has twice avoided telling the csa about payrises. They find it out through him employer. He then throws a hissy fit as they take the arrears in one. He 'promises' he'll pay it without them, I refuse and a month of hassle starts. But I know its less stress than doing it without them. Its not that he didnt pay without them, but would use it for bribary to get his own way for everything or he would deduct things that he felt he could! Stuff the csa would never agree with!

As above posters have said, leave it to the CSA. You're deserve what you're entitled to. If ex wants to rant and rave, so be it. Just don't listen :D

Hope your week has got off to a good start :)

    Morning

DD is back from her weekend away with nanny and grandad :j:j,
I did have a great weekend on my own ,went out with friends , spent a whole day relaxing and finally sorted out the garden ,kept the house tidy and did all the ironing but I did miss her and her stroppy ways :rotfl: although according to mum and dad sounds like she was a completely different child over the weekend :p:A

Normality resumes today we are going for a fry-up at the cafe this morning with some friends and at only £2.50 for 5items it's a bargain ;)

Not much else planned need a trip to supermarket to buy a few bits for the week and I promised DD I would help her clean the shells she collected from her weekend away . If the weather stays dry I will rescue the plants that I collected from mum and dads they are looking a bit sorry for themselves

Just dragging out the last days till pay day I'm anxious to pay some money off debts ( never thought I'd say that ) . CSA payment (the last one ) is late I called them yesterday and they said they would look in to it Ex claims he has been paid (the last pay before he starts new job ) by current company last week and that CSA have
taken the money however Ex is known to bend the truth ;);) so think I will call CSA again later to chase it up . With the whole CSA, Ex and new job situation I think I have made my mind up what im going to do about it all but I will post later about it

All banks are looking ok ,not healthy but o.k and I opened up a Halifax account in order to get he switching reward so just awaiting all the details to come through .

Nothing else to report have a fab day

    Call to CSA done

No money coming this month

Turns out that the CSA spoke to Ex employer yesterday who informed CSA that Ex was leaving the company . Because Ex has used up more holiday than his entitlement the company have kept money back and made no deductions for CSA

So Ex lying (shock horror) telling me that the CSA had taken money from his final paypacket

CSA will now contact Ex to find out how he supporting himself as company have told them he is leaving . I told them he will be starting new employment next week and that I wanted to continue getting money through the agency .

Can't believe he lied again and knowing that no money was deducted for child maintenance he didn't even offer to pay  this morning I was convinced that I should trust him and go along with him paying me directly but not now .

So here's to some stressful times ahead and some very skint months till it all gets sorted out

Have calmed down a lot after discovering there would be no CSA payment this month. I knew I wouldn't be getting any as of next month and presumed that the end of may payment would be the lAst, I was kind of relying on that money and £250 is a lot to be short by

So with this new development I doubt I will have the next account cleared by the end of the month :mad:Which I am disappointed about .

So re thinking all finances I have decided to try and clear it by a quarter this month and I will just have to slowly chip away at it until the situation with child support gets better .After all the NEXT account doesn't have a deadline and it isn't going anywhere .

My main focus is to now concentrate on the holiday fund as this does have a deadline and expenses for the holiday are already starting to come in. Like the cattery fees and the cats injections so the cattery will accept her these things are coming out of the holiday expenses fund .

Looked on Halifax online banking and new account is all set up with the £100 switching reward sitting in there waiting for me , no card or pin has arrived yet and online won't allow me to do a bank transfer until 5day security period has passed so the money is stuck there ,I could really do with transferring it to other bank as I have a feeling I'm going to go over my overdraft limit or have a payment declined thanks to todays CSA developments (money would normally have arrived by today ) charges ,charges, charges :mad:

New Account also has a overdraft facility I'm starting to think I may have been a bit hasty /greedy in requesting it and not sure if I am regretting having one now . On the other hand it may come in useful now that things have gone t*ts up and does mean that there is money for desperate emergencies like medicine, petrol , etc I am going to have to really really be strict with myself.

Had a lovely day with DD washing and painting seashells and just pottering around .we also snuggled up and watched spring watch together tonight which was great . I realised that I must make the most of these moments with her as I am sure it's not going to be too long before it is no longer 'cool' to be with her 'geeky' mum watching programmes about wildlife lol :rotfl::rotfl:

Glad new account all up and running! And :j to the £100 ;)

Ummmmm my recommendation is do not use an overdraft with Halifax!! Unless things have changed dramatically, their charges are shocking. I couldn't get myself out of the hole I was in while I was still with them. Had to switch banks as the charges were crippling me!

Hope the sun in shining

Counting down the hours till payday :)
Will check bank in a while just before I go to bed as sometimes wages go in early , I need to pay my mobile phone bill as I got cut off this afternoon .

Had a good day today, sorted out the piles of paperwork that were scattered around the house and now it's all neatly in one big pile :rotfl: waiting to be filed away properly .I also cleaned the oven

This afternoon we went to the garden centre and had a cuppa and a cake , also spent ages in the bird hide they had a camera set up in a nest was very sweet watching the adult bird feeding off the bird feeders and then watching the monitor and seeing the chicks being fed ,DD didn't would have been happy staying in the bird hide all afternoon .

I did pick up a few plants that I am planning to pot up on Sunday I love gardening find it very relaxing and therapeutic .I had a lovely garden was my pride and joy I put in a lot of time and effort but last year I had to unexpectedly move out due to abusive neighbours and had to leave it all behind . I was more upset and angry That I had to leave my garden (I actually bawled my eyes out) Than I
was at having to leave my home I moved into this rented house late September and didn't have a chance to spruce up the garden so I'm looking forward to starting on a blank canvas .

Tomorrow I am working which hopefully will distract me from spending my wages although I do need a new handbag as I have bits falling off mine and I leave a trail of gold studs wherever I have been :rotfl: also lost a lot of change and my keys through the hole at the bottom :rotfl:,

Tomorrow night I am taking DD to watch wrestling ( don't even ask) she loves it and to be honest it is so cheesy that I actually find it quite entertaining :rotfl:

Hope you have all had a good day

  • oh wow you've had a bit of an up down week dolly! Hope the rest of the week is better. I know how you feel being short on the budget with money that you were relying on this has happened to me 3 months in a row now. I've done what you did this month and done a new budget without the money and if it comes it's a bonus!! (well it's emergency funds, car funds blah blah blah actually lol)

I second what HAW says about halifax. My very first debt ever was with them. I accidently went overdrawn (as a dd came out early) and they charged me. Then charged me again and again and again. I ended up in hundreds of pounds of debt because of one silly DD. And every time the DD tried to be taken they would charge me again. I paid it all off (if only I knew about mse back then) and closed the account down. I'm with hsbc now and they are pretty good they've refunded me charges before when they can see it's not my fault or if it's by pennies.
