Hi Dollie
Nice to hear everything is looking good. With regards to the wasp nest. Ring the council. Even if you are not a council tenant they still come and remove them. We had to pay £35 for ours last year (own house) from them. Obviously different councils vary but you never know!

Hi all,
Long time no see ,
I have taken my eye off the debt reducing ball and things are not looking good
I think I may have met a man very very early stages and after being single for a long time I have gone all out and have been socialising loads and I've got the feel good factor so treated myself to a much needed 'whole new wardrobe ' and added 500 to my debt which is the Halifax overdraft I was adamant was not going to use  :eek::(:mad:
Waiting for wages tomorrow don't think I will be Able to pay anything  , holiday is in 3 weeks and to top it off DD needs entertaining all at a cost
I've also done something very silly and paid £ 60 to staff card by mistake wanted only to pay £10 minimum payment this month and wanted to pay the £60 to credit card ,I paid it using online banking and obviously wasn't paying attention when I scrolled down and clicked on staff card instead of credit card :mad:
Also the Ex not paid school trip money that he insisted he was paying . matinence money was paid but was £50 short ,however according to Facebook his current girlfriend is very pleased with the new dyson fan he has brought her :mad:
So I'm back where I started :mad::mad:
Note to self ....... Come on here every day to keep on track !!NEXT. - was £120. / now £ 120

ah Dollie don't be too hard on yourself we all have set-backs (you should see the post where I fell off the wagon and spent £800 on bedroom furniture
) the main thing is that you get back on track and start plugging away again.

Hi all ,
Well I'm back , and I'm embarrassed things are not good !
Since I last posted my debt has risen by another £1000:mad:
As things stand at the moment
I'm regularly going over my overdraft every week and facing lots of bank charges every month
I'm paying minimum payments to debts but they are always late
I've been a bit stupid and not been able to pay direct debits this month for bt , council tax, water and gas and electric ,.. Oh and contact lens'
Have a huge arrears for gas and elec which makes monthly payments at nearly £200 this is because d/d have not been collected as no money in account
I have not received any matinence money since beginning of July as Ex was made redundant and been out of work ever since ,he is very low and i have become the person he talks to which is very draining
I have no access to any form of credit or funds
As you can see things are not good and I feel rubbish about it all ,I feel guilty as I should not let things to get this bad ,daughter is suffering as we are unable to do anything and we have. Not been out of the house or done anything together for months
But things can only get better surely

Morning all
After my post yesterday I feel slightly relieved that I have got it out in the open
I have got out the good old pen and paper and come to some sort of a plan
All the missed direct debits can be paid within the next week or so although I expect they have been cancelled now so will need to call all relevant companies and set up a new payment plan . This however doesn't include gas and elec or council tax .
Council tax I can pay half and try to syphon monies from other areas (mainly food budget ) to pay the rest should be up to date by the end of the month .
Gas and elec bill I struggle with as it's so much money I have arrears as I wasn't paying enough monthly to cover our usage last I will bite the bullet and call them to yet again set up a monthly
payment plan . It will be more expensive as previously as now I have missed nearly 2 months payments .only myself to blame
The most important thing is to get rid of bank charges ,I go over my overdraft limit every week , it then gets cleared the following week when tax credits hit my account ,however I am then 50 quid short so have to go over limit again it's a cycle I can't seem to get out of and to top it all I am then charged a fortune the following month which makes me short again .
I've come up with a plan might not be the most sensible or advisable but Here it is I have a c/c that I don't use it has a very small limit , the plan is instead of going overdrawn I will use c/c for food shopping then the following week pay of the balance of the card . This will only be for the next few weeks /months until the bank charges stop as i exceed the cap the charges roll over to the next month so i think im looking at march which will be charge free will be a lot cheaper than £150 worth of charges every month as soon as I am charge free I can then stop using card and pay any remaining balance on it .
Bit of a long post but feel motivated and excited
Enjoy your day

Just wanted to drop you a Reply....
Don't worry about having fallen off the Wagon a little....we ALL do that and have done that in the past!!
Just pick yourself up (which you seem to be doing) and move on from day dot....which is now....
Not sure what to suggest about your Bank Charges....they used to cripple me as well....
Do you have anything in your Cupboards that you could live on for just a Week? Like Spaghetti or Baked Beans? It might help a bit...and might get you out of that cycle...
Anyway...I've rambled enough....take care and I wish you well....I'll be keeping up with your Diary and I hope things work out for the best for you xXx0 -
Morning all ,
Just catching up with my daily dose of JK before I tackle the housework and make a meal plan and shop list .
I have been confused as to which debt to clear first I know sensible is to clear the most expensive first which in my case would be one of the larger debts which will take ages to clear and I am frightened I might loose motivation . However if I clear the smaller debts it won't take as long and it would free up money quicker to help day to day living .
So this situation has been going round and round in my head , I have done a childish and traditional method to help me decide ,I wrote all debts on pieces of paper ,put them in a bag and pulled them out (I'm taking this debt clearing seriously ,honest) so the first one out the bag is the very account which should be cleared at the end of this month with overtime pay :T,
This will free up money that will clear the "next" account by the end of feb meaning 2debts in 2 months I'm happy with that .
Enough of my pointless chatter , hope you have a fab day
Dollie
