I think I might pass out ,
The Ex has given me £100 for child matinence :T:T
It's money I wasn't expecting , I am still doubtful that this will be a regular thing and I will sooner or later have to contact the CSA again .
So £50 of it is for my friends birthday next week meal ,drinks and pressie which I am so pleased about as I was goingto have to cancel
Unsure what to do with the remaining £50 , either put it towards next debt or the holiday fund .
All money I need for holiday fund has been planned and I know when and how I'm getting it ( if that makes sense )
I will have paid the next debt off by end of next month ,however it would be nice to have that sense of achievement and pay it off earlier , anyway somewhere along the line I will be £50 better off .
Before I decide will check banks and consult the very technical (not) money book just to double check that I don't need £50 for something else

That's awesome, like you said, by not budgeting for the child maintenance it has come as a bonus, and made a massive differenceKitchen Debt - 2820/260Save £12k in 2013 #060: 1293.24/3000MFW: 88760.00/85000.00 (4.24% paid)0 -

Evening ,
Yay to the ex indeed :j:j
I need to post to distract me
I'm sitting here resisting the urge to transfer £50 from my holiday funds and clearing the next debt
I know it's not the sensible thing to do but I'm just so close now to clearing it ....I'm getting impatient and just want to see the figure at £0 ,and I also want to crack on and start clearing the staff card
This debt busting is so addictive

What APR do the staff and/or credit cards carry? That should be the deciding factor on what to tackle after the Next card is cleared.
Keep going, you are doing so well. Personally, I'd use your sealed pot funds for debt reduction though. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
As what satchmo1 says - check the APRs and then decide. You are doing fab
Be very proud of yourself!
(and just to let you know, when you've finished with your debt and you start saving, that is as addictive!)

Evening ,
Not been able to post in the last few days life has got in the way;)
Not a lot to report all banks Are where they should be and no bank charges this month nor should therevbe any next month which I am pleased about I have finally managed to get myself out of the bank charge cycle :j
As suggested I have checked out the APR for the staff/store card and the credit card
Staff card is 22.9% with a balance of 300
Credit card is £ 18.5 % with a balance of 1750
Not sure what to do as although staff card is higher APR it is a lower balance so not paying much intrest compared to the credit card with a lower APR and a higher balance
However clearing the staff card won't take long if I carry on debt busting at the rate I have been and might just keep me motivated
Oh I don't know what to do lol
Haven't paid anymore to the Next debt just waiting patiently for payday and /or more money from the ex only £50 left to pay and at the minute there is no money to put towards it
Have been rounding down bank accounts and putting the odd few pence towards holiday savings .I have used some of the holiday funds already booked airport parking and the balance of cattery
CSA called today to inform me that they had confirmation that Ex has left job (which I already knew ) they have tried to contact him several times but been unsuccessful so they have now put a tracer on him through inland revenue when they get his employment and pay details they will put a deduction of earnings on him again  .Ex is oblivious to this and I won't be telling him either he has offered to pay me directly and has given me some moneyin the last week but I am doubtful he will keep it up and will pay regularly so have asked CSA to keep case open .if I am proved wrong and Ex does pay on time ,right amount and regularly then I will cancel CSA .This is the calm before the storm as soon as he finds out CSA case is not closed he will hit the roof.
Nothing else to report just impatient to clear Next
Have a good eve

Dolly, throw any extra at the staff card, even a small amount if you are allowed to do payments at any time, will reduce the interest and the balance.
You aren't being sneaky with CSA, they're doing their job for a change and it's not down to you. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Generally the higher APR card is the one to get rid of first, but I hear what you're saying ref the actual amount owing on the other. The staff card is smaller balance, so the sooner you get it paid off, the sooner you can throw that extra money at the credit card.
Is your overdraft costing you much?
Stick to where you are with CSA. As you say, you don't know how long ex can be reliable for. And if he 'finds out' the case is not closed and he hits the roof, then all the more reason to keep going the way you're going. As satchmo says - they're just doing their job!
Happy Friday!Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0
