After a rather nice time in Cardiff, including lunch at Wally's Delicatessen (a real trip down Memory Lane to Germany), I am now going to do a little fluttering!

If I do nothing else today I will tackle this:

Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.

This easy but spectacular recipe was given to me by my landlady in 1969 when I was at uni in Germany for a term. She taught me the joys of cooking for a crowd and the cake always brings back happy memories of my time with that most hospitable family :)[/I]

Sounds absolutely yummy, and also that it would be tolerant of my wheat-free flour - which some recipes aren't. Thanks.

Note to anyone else wheat and/or gluten free - Mr T has 3 for the price of 2 this week on many of the bread/rolls and some rather yummy but pricy new wraps. I'm limited to a few brands as I can't eat potato either :( so that rules out Mr T's own.

  • "Hell hath no fury than a woman scorned" and all that, after hearing about Pigpen's treatment this morning, I have blitzed this pit.

Bed stripped and remade. Bathroom done. House hoovered throughout. Kitchen and bathroom mopped. WM x 4, TD x LOADS, Pots done. Top of fridge clutter culled. Bins emptied. Recycling done. Hob cleaned. Kids rooms tidied. Washing being folded as it comes out of TD. Fridge shelves wiped. BM on. Floordrobes cleared. Shoes rehomed.

Thanks Pigpen - couldn't have done it without you :A

The dining room has been put back to rights, and I've done my first Toot's List. I also have a list of all the minor repairs and decorating jobs that would bring that room up to Ideal Standard which, of course, will never happen. Writing it down at least I can stop mentally noting all those irritations because I now have a Little Listy.

    Evening all :hello:

Sorry long time no post... I've been following you all though - but not in a creepy stalky way :o

Business set up is coming along S L O W L Y and I am now officially freelance. My website should go live mid next week. Then I wait for the enquiries/orders to roll in  My local advertising is still on hold due to yet another f*ck up with the design/printing of the business cards & flyers  although I should be in the local business directory (really a small pamphlet but a jolly useful and well-respected one) in 2 weeks time.

Get the hell out of that evil place and never go back - to Piggers

Apologies to anyone I've missed xx

DD has just flounced upstairs when I laughed at one of her photos on fbook. She has slammed her bedroom door. This has made me laugh more which has prompted 'bad words' from behind said door.

Flywise I've been keeping on top of the laundry, shopping, cooking, S&Sing, putting/taking out the recycling and even weeding. Some tidying and decluttering has also taken place but that's about it :o

Time to get something to eat and settle down to watch Mary Portas try to help an ailing town.

Of our weekend tasks, the bedlinen has been changed (the dirty set will be washed overnight on cheaper leccy), the bath lift has been removed and it and the bath cleaned, and the Dys0n Tango has been danced. I have also done the above-and-beyond-the-call-of-duty task of dicing up some cooked chicken Dave brought with him, for his meals._pale_ I feel in desperate need of a large whisky after doing that, but we've none in the house.:(:rotfl:

Tomorrow Mr LW can tackle the weekly ironing and give the car it's weekly check over (oil, tyres, wash bottle, lights etc) and he can also give the compost caddy it's weekly thorough scrub. Nothing like giving the men something to do, is there?;):D

Walkies takes up a good two hours out of each day, so next week will be cursory Flying only (I mentioned this to Mr LW and his idea of "cursory Flying" is to say "f*** the housework":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Not long until eurovision time. Just need to put the washing away. Flying is still, how shall I put it, basic here.

Tomorrow the plan is to garden.
