I'm becoming weather-obsessed which makes me a sad person.

On the off-chance that it might have redecided what was going to happen and as it wasn't actually chucking it down, I checked the Met Office site and - way hay! - the forecast has gone from totally unutterably disgusting to sunny for two days with only one drippy-type cloud thing tomorrow morning. So, the washing machine will be twirling it's little heart out for a few hours to get rid of the backlog.

Mog's litter tray has received necessary attention, bathroom S&Sed, a kitchen drawer has been turned out and a load of gibble has been re-homed all over the house. Not bad for me by 11.00am (I'm not part of the dawn chorus brigade of FlyLadies).

Speaking of whom, Bossy, I know you don't want to work full time, but if your boss does leave and his post comes up, could you consider applying for it on the basis of a job-share?
    Better is good enough.

    Good morning all

DH has been decluttered to the horse piddle for the day - hoping the procedure will work this time!

I called at @ld1 and Mr S on my way home, and all shopping has been put away. In anticipation of our move the store cupboard and freezer contents have been run down almost to nothing, and for the next 4 weeks I shall only be buying for the current week. Still enough ingredients left for some cakes, though: I don't really know why I've got 3 large bags of raisins - I must hunt out my mother's recipe for boiled cake!

The house is still clean and tidy from yesterday. I've done 2xWM but am using the TD today as it's showery.

The birds have been down in force since I refilled the fat block and mealworm feeder. We've had a crowd of about 12 silly starlings come to visit this morning - first one,, then two, then all the rest. The young blackbird has started feeding himself from the fat block, the tree creeper and woodpecker call in from time to time, and the robins, chaffinches, dunnocks and various species of tits are regular visitors through the day. Never a dull moment!

My garden always looks at its best at this time of year, and the wisteria (which can only be seen from my desk ;)) is just coming into full bloom. I shall have to plant one at the new house :D

    Posivibes for Jazee's DS
    GWS vibes for CY's DD2.
    Happy Birthday to mumto5's DS2!
Don't think I ever sent congratulations to Valli's DS on passing his driving test - well done!
(((Hugs))) and spoons to all in need, matchsticks for bossy and GUAG for MMM and WW.

CY - get well vibes for your DD
Mumto5 - happy birthday wishes for your DS
Get well and spoons for whoever wants to grab them :]

Pocket Money - as soon as I got my first job I got no more pocket money, infact I had to hand over housekeeping money! I only worked part time [weekend] and handed over half my earnings, I wouldn't go that far with my children but I would stop giving pocket money and help towards the cost of dearer things providing the earnings werent being wasted, i would also advise children to save some of their money.

Flying - Kitchen done, LR half done, sewing done, coffee and cake done :]
Projects made for craft fair - 40 :)

I've never given my kids pocket money. DS1 has had part time work since 14 and DS2 since 16. Whilst in education they can keep the cash, once they stop they pay housekeeping, to start with equivalent of CB and then plan is to increase as their hours/wages do.

Pack of black dogs rampaging through the house so I'm getting changed and lunch and then heading out and hoping none sneak out the door with me.

Dusty- I don't give pocket money either but they get it from their Dad :[, mine have to save every week for things they want - games etc, DD saves her for clothes etc, if we go out somewhere for a day out they get to take spends and I'll buy an ice cream, if it was down to me they wouldn't get pocket money but as I have no control on this then I make sure they don't waste it away, I'd pay them for chores but I'm not going to do this when they get so much from their Dad so they have chores to do as part of being a family. Both kiddies are very good at saving [better than me] and are quite savvy at buying things - will wait for price drops or scour the internet for discounts - quite proud of myself for teaching them this from an early age :]

    Hoovering done downstairs

Grrr. It's raining, and the 12.59 R4 forecaster said it would. And this despite the fact that the website still says it will be fine.
