    Morning :hello:
So far this morning I've taken DD1 to the train station, shouted at DD2 for being a lazy mare and not bothering to get up in time to actually have some breakfast as she was moaning that she was hungry
I braved Asda on my own which is very brave for me as I don't do shopping on my own (I get panic attacks) and Asda actually makes them worse, but the bits I needed were cheaper in there :money:
Dog decluttered to the garden, shopping put away, WM is on, SC is on and a phone call to the housing !!!. re broken fence (missed the bloke coming out the other day ) done.

I had a talk with the girls regards pocket money, earning extra money and that I'm not giving money out all the time and the lifts all over the place have stopped. Whether it's sunk in is a different matter. DD1 did load the DW without being asked last night  All jobs are being noted in a book for "pay day". Cheeky DD2 asked me what jobs I was doing for my pocket money!! I said "oh can I actually pay myself for all the stuff I do? That would be nice. Won't be any money left for food shopping or bills but still"

Right lots to do so off I go . . .

I simply can't be organised without you guys so hopefully you will have me back  I have become very lazy since we got the cleaner last year and although the house is clean it is starting to get untidy and cluttered and I have sooooo many frogs that you wouldn't believe. I think maybe Natty68 knew that I needed help as the lists seem aimed at me, so here it goes. If it has been deleted it has been done (or will be done by the cleaner tomorrow)

Manic Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining room
    Level Two
    Wipe large appliances
Give one small appliance a good clean!
Clean out the fridge thoroughly.. and check the drain at the back! Does anything need to be used up?
    Level Three
Clean doorseals, filters and detergent drawers
Oven to be scrubbed -you know you want to do it really!!!
    Extras

    • Make soup from those manky bits of vegetables that you found while cleaning out the fridge
    • Wipe over the woodwork
    • Clean lightshades/fittings
Twinkling Tuesday ~ Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Level 1

    Vacuum sofas
Catch up on phone calls.. make necessary appointments .. and sort out insurance policies that need renewing soon!! Need to book smear test
    Level 3
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing. See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house!
    Extras

    • Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
    • Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    • Get yourself a bag or box, go around collecting things that are not in the place they should be, then put them back where they should be, or better still give them to their owners to put away themselves

I am going to see what I can get done before 12.

Hi all, very new to this (not just the thread, but the entire concept of actually cleaning on a daily basis) hoping you/this thread will help keep me motivated until it actually becomes a habit!

I thought I'd done more than I had, so the list is a bit sad, but am hoping this idea will help me in the long run... I've no idea how you all seem to be able to do so much - I am amazed!
Welcome! Babysteps is the way - take it steady and be kind to yourself if you don't do all you'd hoped; the rooms come around again next week, so don't stress.:o Several of us make our own lists, and just come here for the company and encouragement (I'm one such); try experimenting with following the lists, doing HHChallenges, or do as I do sometimes when I'm not up to a full HH , and do QHChallenges (Quarter Hour) or setting yourself goals of certain jobs to do before you have a cuppa - you'll find the system that works for you and never look back!:o

Mrs mp - thanks for posting that youtube video; I thoroughly enjoyed it!:T Your DS is certainly talented!:o

    Ajmoney welcome home!:D

I'm taking it very steady this week, I've decided, in order to be able to make Dave's visit as much fun for him as possible. It goes without saying, of course, that I'll be on light (oh OK even lighter than usual) duties next week, too, while the little guy's here.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Thanks for the company:wave:

Back in for a quick report
DW IS ON! Gibble collected from downstairs to fed DW.

Found DS missing glasses, looks like he has hidden them as the lens has fallen out.

Called Spec@vers, as only recently prescribed they are going to see if head dispenser will agree to reissue without him going back to shops, except to collect when ready

    One worksurface, cleared and cleaned.

Now DD4 singing away in my arms, as I try to type and clean one handed :D

Mission for the next HHC - FIND THE BABY SLING, then another 28 minutes kitchen cleaning :rotfl:
The cold never bothered me anyway

I knew coming back to proper lists would help. I have been ignoring booking my smear test and signing a form for 2 months, I don't know why as they took 2 minutes each. I tried posting my own lists on my diary in the MFW section but only ever managed so much, I know you guys will give me the kick that I need.

Well I feel like grot today.. :( I am in so much pain I feel sick and tired. I really need some drugs but can't decide who I dislike the least to bother for drugs.. :p

Dot had an hour nap and has been shunted out of bed.

Girly room has been partially cleared and I vacuumed the floor I could see which of course made me feel 10 times worse, Squeak broke the bulb in her lamp so there was glass all over and I can't trust a man to vacuum it properly so I had to do it. I may dump babies on OH and go to bed for a bit (I won't but it is nice to think about it :p)

2 loads of washing hung out.. another load in!!

Best feed these 2.. *delegate to OH* :)

I best go pick up some toys in the front room, I want to sort a box full for CS.

DD2 has a post viral rash. She is still bouncing around like a spring lamb so she can accompany me and DS2 to the dentist in a while.

I've had a good sort out in DS3/DD2's bedroom. I have found all the missing socks and the washing machine has been on constantly since 8.30am.

DS1 has been told the facts of life today. I've informed him that now he is 18 and out of education he has no parental credit left. We have no financial responsibility to feed or house him out of the goodness of our hearts when he refuses to do anything to get himself a job. He is lying in his bed playing on his laptop and it's really getting to me. I've told him he has a month to sort himself out then he will be evicted. Unbelievably DH has backed me up.

Parenting is so hard at times.

Today has been good so far, striking items off as I do them

Twinkling Tuesday ~ Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Level 1

    [STRIKE]Vacuum floors and sofas[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Catch up on phone calls.. make necessary appointments .. and sort out insurance policies that need renewing soon!! For me this was work emails for a PT job from home[/STRIKE]

    Level 2

[STRIKE]Dusting, even if around everything [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets[/STRIKE]

    Level 3

[STRIKE]Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc [/STRIKE]
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing. See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house!

    Extras

    • [STRIKE]Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.[/STRIKE]
    • Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    • [STRIKE]Clean a window or two.[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Get yourself a bag or box, go around collecting things that are not in the place they should be, then put them back where they should be, or better still give them to their owners to put away themselves[/STRIKE]
    Also my own extras:
[STRIKE]Clean front door, inside and outside
Clean car windows and wing mirrors
Tidy and sort the mass of rubbish and bags in the boiler cupboard!
    [/STRIKE]

Looking forward to editing this later with the rest of the jobs crossed off (done to a point...), I do love a list. I've done the jobs I've done much more thoroughly than I would usually too, I don't work Tuesdays, so whatever room comes up Tuesday will get a really intensive clean each time, whereas the other days (especially Wednesday) will get a "light" version of level 1 I expect!

Pigpen - hope you feel better soon, but I have no idea how you can do so much when feeling so rough, very impressed!
